Amazing and inspiring!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Honestly mind blowing. Completely inspiring. Makes me want to delete everything off my drive and make better visuals. Really good work.
Lovely color
Thank you!
Beautiful work Joseph! Every frame here is gorgeous! Can I ask which lenses you used? And what your favourites are for the 6K Pro?
Thanks a bunch Sean! I used a few lenses in the reel:
- Old reliable sigma 18-35mm
- Contax Zeiss 28mm
- Sigma 105mm Macro lens
- Canon 70-200 f2.8
I have a stack of various other lenses, but those ones get the most use.
In terms of value for money and versatility the sigma 18-35 takes the cake for me and lives on my camera most of the time.
It is clinical out of camera but has a lot of flexibility in post to get any desired look you might need.
The contax zeiss is lovely for a little character, and the 70-200 is king of telephotos.
If you have any specific shots that you’d like to know the lens used, just shout :)
@@josephsavage1540 Thanks so much for your detailed reply. I assumed some of it was the Sigma 18-35mm and you definitely know how to extract the most from it with such gorgeous composition and framing. BTW your grading is so so good!
I actually sold my 70-200 L and bought the Canon 70-300 L it’s such a sleeper of a lens! (like a mini 100-400 mk ii) ... It’s a really good walk around pairing with the 6K Pro. It balances beautifully in the hand and has amazing stabilisation!
I’ll have to look into that Zeiss 28mm.
Congratulations again on such inspiring work!
@@SeanMcVitty my pleasure! Thanks a bunch for the lovely words man :)
I’ll have to take a peek at the 70-300mm, that little bit of extra reach could certainly come in handy.
Have a look at the Contax Zeiss, I got a great deal on one secondhand ($300 cad) and it’s one of my favourites - if you can find a good copy pull the trigger!
This looks beautiful what type of lens did you use for these ?
Thank you very much!
For the shots in the reel I used a variety of lenses:
- Old reliable Sigma 18-35
- Contax zeiss 28mm
- Canon 70-200 2.8 ii
- Sigma 105mm macro
very nice!
Beautiful. What settings are you using in camera?
Thank you! Almost all shots were at
6k|12:1|Raw
👏👏👏👏👏
HI! what lense did you use? Gymbal ?
Excellent work! What kind of main lens do you use?
Thanks man! A bunch of the shots here were on the sigma 18-35, but I also used the Contax Zeiss 28mm and the canon 70-200 :)
Nice! I’ve been saving for a BMPCC 6K Pro myself! Seeing this video makes confident I’m saving for the right camera! Any recommendations of what lens I should buy for this? Also, what song did you use for this video?
Appreciate the kind words man, you can’t go wrong with BlackMagic! I’d recommend picking up a Sigma 18-35 as your first lens, it’s almost a right of passage for BMPCC owners. Super versatile, sharp and affordable for what you get. In terms of the song I’m not too sure, it was from Epidemic Sound if that helps. When I’m next at my computer I’ll check for you :)
@@josephsavage1540nice shots! is the bmpcc good for on to the go, man in the street style interviews? i feel like i never see someone make fully fleshed out videos with them, only 5 minute reels.
there’s one i can rent near me for $50 a day, so i may do that for this project.
@@adammockler hey man! Appreciate the kind words. Blackmagic cameras are capable of most projects you throw at them, but do have their limits in terms of no autofocus or in-body stabilization.
It will depend on your use-case as to whether it would be a good fit. Renting will be a great way to gauge this!
Personally the reason I don’t upload full videos are because they’re generally shot for clients and therefore posting them on my channel feels a little odd.
Great footage’s!! Can you help me,I bought a bmpcc6k but I don’t see such quality and detail at all. I use a Tokina 11-16 mm lens, if I buy a Sigma 18-35 mm lens, the situation will change? How do you think, or is it more a question of post-processing, lighting etc..?
Im in the same spot, bought bmpcc 6k with 18-35 1.8 sigma, and I see my footage and its not near close to the quality of these video, but I think is bc im Just starting in this industry, i have tro practice a lot😔 but is so frustrating hahaa
Very cool! What’s the music?
Sweet Reel! Are you union in Toronto?
Thanks a bunch Ryan! I've been flying solo, but I'm tempted to look into the union side of things. Have you got any experience with it?
