Thanks for posting this fine recording - which my prejudice that Dylan's voice at some time in the past went too to far beyond repair.... how stupid was I never eally checked...I am sure to go after a live ticket now .... And read these recollections of Dylan in Portsmouth UK in 2000 ... when he also did Visons...
why does he feel the need to sing all his songs in a weird way??? i am 50 and got my first dylan in the early 70s ....i have seen him no less than 12 times and he's always disapponted me generallyy w/ the exception of Dylan /Petty and the heart breakers and the dead back in the 80s ....he's such a moody dick head ......i love him never the less!
In an interview, he responded to that complaint by saying that if you want to hear how he did it on the record, go home and listen to the record because this is how he plays it NOW. Why would you condemn him to the boredom of playing the same thing over and over and over? If switching it around keeps him having fun, who are we to grumble? He's brilliant, even at constantly changing things up. Enjoy it, no one else compares.
Duke is the man, alway's has been.

Beautiful Duke. Always tasteful. Genius meets genius. Wish you were still helping ‘Bob.
