The man can be hilarious. From Far Out magazine: "Famously, Dylan left Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant agog with his response to their introduction. It was 1974, and the band were the biggest thing on the planet, and Grant had a reason to make himself known to the singer. “Hello, Bob. I’m Peter Grant, I manage Led Zeppelin,” said the manager of the most famous band in the world. Dylan’s response was nothing short of devastating, replying, “Do I come to you with my problems?”"
They just happened to be in the same bar...and Dylan never approaches anyone. I mean..he might have if Blind Lemon or The Mississippi Shieks were in the bar..but hotel wrecking Led Zepp...NAH lol
As full time musicians I realize how similar our journeys are in spite of genre.. getting the big opening spot, the loss of a fellow band member and making it work and salvaging the gig.. standing for a musical ideology no matter what.. you gotta be light on your feet and have a good sense of humor to survive this crazy business. Warner is proof of all of that. Great listening!
Have you seen the uploads by nightly moth? Like a radio program hosted by Bob Dylan? I actually thought Dylan was the nightly moth, but it appears to be out of the UK.
Here's the Scorcher's Version of Absolutely Sweet Marie that Bob liked. This video is evidence of what a great live band Jason and the Scorchers were. ruclips.net/video/Eyv6TWeJu0Y/видео.html Also, Dan Baird owns the acoustic guitar that Jason is playing in this video. I saw it in his basement and asked, Dan, "is that the guitar?" He smiled and said, "yes!" I didn't even have to finish the sentence.
A great example of the joyfulness of rock and roll, and also why I absolutely love Jason and the Scorchers. And you can see from this why Warner has no interest in an acoustic tour!
Well, that was a hoot...and made me watch the video that followed as well. How does someone play guitar running around like that? Amazing! What a crazy band.
Warner, did you play guitar for Dan Baird in 2017 or so? If so, the highlight was your feature which included some les paul indulgence. Very well done!

That was a prophetic old soul response from a man in his early thirties.

Could listen to his stories all day

I've always tought that the Scorchers version was inspired by The Flamin' Groovies version of the song.
Well, that was a hoot...and made me watch the video that followed as well. How does someone play guitar running around like that? Amazing! What a crazy band.
This is a great performance. Thanks for sharing!
To me Bob Dylan was simply a musical genius!
Has he died?
😂😂😂😂😂
"Is", not "was". He's still alive, brilliant, and endlessly touring. The man is irreplaceable.
We need a Warner Hodges memoir.
from the thumbnail I"m like 'Harry Shearer? Damn, if Dylan liked Spinal Tap he really does have a sense of humor...'
Sweet Marie is a sweet little beastie.

I always saw that Sarcastic 😅 you have to know it from self,i think Bob is just whatever he is real genius TYTL
Dylan comes across as an aloof Delbert savant.
Great Zimmerman impersonation!
I was impressed beyond measure, too! Done so casually, too.
