Sage words, " We've practiced we haven't REHEARSED"!
1) With each interview you post of Warner, I am more jealous of your friendship with him. He seems like the best hang ever. 2) Re: bringing friends on the road: when I was touring with Curb Records artist, Steve Holy, my wife wanted to come on a bus run one time to see what my job was like from start to finish. That was all it took to convince her to never ask again. :) I tell people: "You don't see the other 23 hours in that day that it took to make the one hour onstage happen."
Spent some time with him a few times way back. Peach of a guy. Nothing fake about him at all. Great dude.
WARNER HODGES!!! Hell, yeah, man! One of the best guitarists I've ever seen. I saw him (with Jason & the Scorchers) from about THIS FAR away at the Cabooze in Minneapolis, I think it must have been in the nineties, but I'm not sure. What a showman! Just an inspiration all around! I haven't heard about him in a long time, and I'm so glad to see that he's still rocking!
i was at that show, dude! You are excactly right!!
“Neil Young did it. Can’t be wrong”. Love it!
Isn't Warner just the nicest guy! I'm lucky enough to have done a bit with him over in Newcastle, a true gentleman. Hi Warner if you're reading.
I love this guy. Feel like ive seen him aroubd nashville
I cherish memories of watching Warner rock with the Scorchers in Nashville - Dancing in the District and River Stages Festivals. I was a teenager and my dad would take me. Warner was a wild man on stage but always in control of his playing. I just couldn't believe how the energy he put out there and he also made me fall in love with the Telecaster!

First time we went to Europe we did 33 days and played 24 shows. It was amazing fun. It was a grueling experience. And getting the flu in the middle was no fun. And he’s right the voice is the hardest to recover night after night. I’d still do it again. I’m ready to go tomorrow. Especially back to Europe.
As a life-long musician, I always love to accept a Challenge!...above and beyond what we normally do. It always involves tremendous hard work and lack of sleep, but to me it's one of the most satisfying feeling of accomplishment. Although I'm not a touring artist, Warner's described AC DC show experience rings familiar. ❤
Warner is the Mayor of the Outlaw Country Cruise every year. He's always a pleasure to talk to in between shows but he jumps on stage with so many different acts it's amazing he has time to just sit and watch other bands play. Oh, and Jason is a maniac on bass. A fantastic maniac on stage and in an audience but otherwise a mild mannered tourist. Our eighth OCC coming up quickly, Warner and band's also. Can't wait.
This Guy is a star!
Love these interviews with Warner.
Reminds me of John Doe from X saying in an interview (and I think he might have been quoting someone else...and I'm paraphrasing from memory), “When I’m on-stage preforming, I do that for free. I get paid to do all the other crap in between.”
Hey thats my buddy toooooooo!!!! Say hey to ole Dan Baird!!
Powerage is AC/DC's best offering. And one of my all time favorite records. Keith Richards takes that cd every where he travels.
Agree 100% By far my favorite AC/DC.
Powerage. Awesome record. Great stuff thanks fellas
Warner Hodges! This is your wildest fan all the way back to 82,in Cali.Jack Rabbit. We met your first tour, and until the 90s,I raised hell for y'all, and you were and the boys, always made a point to hang with the crowds I beought.Just want to say,Thank you,and Im "Alive and warm!"
He has such a positive and enthusiastic attitude!
Great insight. excellent reality check. Thanks for this.
Its a long way to the top
Oh yeah! "You've practised... we need to rehearse!"
Greetings from Detroit! Warner is one of the greats!
Great video! 🚂🖤🔥🔥🔥
How about those remedies for tour colds?
Blackpool to southern Germany is a hell of a journey! Jeez. Oh, the glamour! 🙂
I’ve played for years at the club level. When I tell people it’s work they just don’t get it.
And that's why I turned down every offer to join a touring band. Little Women and Bo Diddley, All two of them!
I recall Jimi Hendrix saying "Most of our practice is just thinking about it."
Brutal.

The road. The part of the game I couldn't hack. Hence my 30 year career selling construction equipment to bridge and highway contractors in LA.
