personally I just like them more, but I agree that it is not a wide gap
but when you squish a flat there’s no bones in the meat, you try to do that with a drum and you end up eating more bone then meat

I’m a wingman and I too prefer flats over drums! The meat tends to slide off those two thin bones and the meat is slightly different and with little to no gristle
