I can forgive the first two times Leomon died. They were both heroic sacrifices in two separate continuities and both in different forms. HOWEVER, the fact they kept killing him OVER AND OVER AGAIN is ridiculous. It's gotten to the point where it's just a running joke. Heck, even Cyber Sleuth has made fun of it! The only time Leomon survived anything was in the "Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01" manga, which we never even got in America. I can't even respect Leomon as a character, cuz he dies every time him (or one of his many iterations) show up.

Also I never noticed until watching this video that BanchouLeomon reminds me a lot of Jotaro from JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: Stardust Crusaders! I wonder if that's where they got the inspiration from? Cause Jotaro has been around since the 80's.

They're based on the same archetype. A bancho is basically the term for a big tough high-school delinquent. The archetype tends to be a tall guy with a coat, a hat, and usually some chest bandages, who gets into fights a lot and doesn't listen to authority, but has a heart of gold. Jotaro's a textbook bancho.
His problem is that he's a champion level thinking he's a mega level
Well he still often used Mega Form when he fought with a Mega, his fight with Beelzemon was an exception and that's why he died so quickly. MetalEtemon easily wounded him mostly because SaberLeomon isn't too durable Mega though.

in the Adventure universe (1,2,Tri) any Digimon who dies in Digimon world come back hence leomon died twice there.
