    Gents, made this curry bowl last night! this is most definately a keeper! For me tempeh has been difficult to use because it is so bland. the abundance of flavor in this dish takes the blandness of tempeh and makes it most palable! Recipe was easy to follow and fairly quick to prepare. thanks for the videos and the great recipes! keep them coming!

    Gentlemen~by gawd you've outdone yourselves!! Not only was I drooling throughout but (being one who can "taste" the food being prepared as I watch a video or read a cookbook ) I was overcome with the umami~ness, the mango~ey goodness, the fresh coriander "punch" and the picant~ey hit of heat from the pepper. Such a beautiful assault on the senses! This is a keeper by gawd! Now if I can just find unflavoured tempah. Love tofu, but would like to try it as made here.
    Keep tempting us. That's an order from an old(ish) Canadian cook of over 50 years who learns something new about cooking every day!! Thank you.

    No, no, no! Snow peas and Sugar Snaps are different! Snow peas are quite flat, with tiny 'peas' inside. Sugar snaps look like puffed up snow peas, with thicker skin and often bigger peas inside, and are sweeter than snow peas. That said, they can be interchangeable. But they're not the same thing ;)

    • @kickthespike
      @kickthespike 6 лет назад +1

      @ginduf 6 лет назад

      bake? air fry?

    • @MissBirdFox
      @MissBirdFox 6 лет назад +2

      You could substitute the oil for water actually! You just need to pay a bit more attention to it since water evaporates quite quickly and you don't want to burn your tempeh.

    • @Olibelus
      @Olibelus 6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, just use water :)

    • @ginduf
      @ginduf 6 лет назад +3

      thing is, water will make it a bit soggy (it'll fall apart a bit too) and it won't brown. i think the texture would suffer because you want the bit of crisp surface to contrast with the other ingredients. while that texture is good if it's what you want, the different textures is part of the appeal.

    Could people please stop using the adjective "Thai" for anything that according to their eurocentric view is 'exotic'? You wouldn't be pleased to hear Ciorba being called a "French" soup in a non-European cook show just because French cuisine happens to be the most well known in that continent, would you?

    • @malink5441
      @malink5441 6 лет назад +1

      So instead they should call the dish "Irish noodle bowl with Thai style noodles in a spicy sauce inspired by Thai food made with a fruit hailing from Southeast Asia and Central and South America"?

    • @sophia2907
      @sophia2907 6 лет назад

      malink My point it there is literally nothing Thai about this dish. Noodles can be found all over Asia and beyond and the sauce is as much Thai as it is Russian or Cameroonian. It sure is a delightful piece of creative cooking but I'd appreciate if we could leave nations and the inaccurate usage of their connotations out of it.
