I'm actually looking to purchase a handheld tuner within the week my GT is relatively stock aside from a cat back system and a k&n drop in filter. Comparing the bama tunes to the VMP tunes on a stock car which one will I see more HP TQ increase ?
Hello JISTIN OR any AM Teems can i tune my mustang 2012 Automatic transmission stock without any aftermarket or setups on my car just the SCTX4 from program and can you learn me how i can do it
is it possible to buy as tuner from AM for my current mods and get new tunes as i mod my mustang later on? and instead of a low/medium/high octane tune is it possible to get a economy tune, street tune, and track tune instead? i live in LA and the highest octane we get is 91. a reply would be much appreciated.
thanks for the reply. thats great to know you guys support your customers after the purchase. im going to keep it N/A. i plan on going with a monochrome theme. alot like the white project MMD mustang you guys did.
So you seem to be implying that the VMP tunes are better than the BAMA tunes. You didn't come right out and say that but "other options" seems to point to that. So I run the Bama tunes right now with the Airaid CAI, BBK 90 mm throttle valve, Boss 302 intake manifold and off road x-pipe. Would I see any benefit to having the VMP tunes? Can I trade in my Bama tunes for the VMP tunes? Will Bama be around and continue to develop their tunes with improvements like they did with the V2 tunes recently. In my '13 GT the V2 tunes were a significant improvement over the first tunes I had. If Bama is on it's way out how do I get new tunes if I add long tubes for instance? Just a little nervous here since my car depends on aftermarket tunes to run now.
+Robert Kohut Bama isn't going anywhere and will definitely continue to develop new tunes! If you add long tube headers, simply give them a shout and they'll help you get the necessary updates to your tune file. Customers have just been asking us for more tune options, so we're excited to add VMP, Unleashed, Cobb, etc. for you guys. -Chris
Lol, horsepower and torque do not come from a transmission. Automatics weigh more, but changing a transmission in a car will not add more horsepower or torque...or take away hp or tq.
Ahhh but they do! You see Automatics account for more drive train loss compared to a manual so therefore, stock for stock, auto's will ALWAYS make less power/torque to the tire. The more you know! -Justin
hey justin, or any AM team, can i use this tuner to calibrate the speedometer after installing an aftermarket posi and 3.73 gears WITHOUT installing a custom tune ?? please let me know, thanks in advance !
good product. jumped me from 108mph to 112. without any bolt ons. just a flash 93 tune
I recently purchased one but they didn’t come preloaded with the tunes!

+Cradle Media Group™ Of-course that's possible man! What are the end goals with the car? Bolt ons? Boost? - Will

would these pre loaded settings work good in places located at 2300 meters elevation or are the other settings that suit these places better?

If you buy a standard X4 you SHOULD be able to change gear ratios in the calibration, without affecting anything else. Hope this helps! -Justin
