@@nakedstud He's just thanking his dad for exposing him to older generation music. What's wrong with that? Why are all the fuck faces in 2020 such trolls? How's that for a question?
His live vocals are amazing. I would say they are even better than the album version. I also like the Edge's guitar placement stero wise better here too. Really great.
Vocals were really solid on this version and in general throughout the first couple of legs of 360. It's much stronger than Elevation era or the Vertigo Tour (especially the early legs of Vertigo that were a major struggle bus). It's too bad this didn't last though. While I'd still love to see them again (360 was my last time), nowadays it's getting a lot harder to tell the difference between singing and yelling when listening to Bono's voice
20k subscribers without videos bitch, Magnificent and Unknown caller are amazing. Unknown caller has a terrific guitar solo by The Edge, probably his best solo.
It´s really thrilling to see that a band with almost 30 years of career still continues to explore new musical territories instead of repiting itself over and over, like many other long-time bands. They never needed to reunite cos´ they never left!! That´s something they have in common with R.E.M...Integrity. U2+Brian Eno+Daniel Lanois=MUSIC GREAT BAND!!! GREAT ALBUM!!
POP is probably the most underrated/appreciated albums by any artist ever. You want rock / U2 magic, you want Discotheque, Do You Feel Loved, MOFO, Staring at the Sun, Last Night on Earth, Wake Up Dead Man et cetera...absolutely gorgeous, deep, dark, meaningful songs, by a band taking risks and not afriad of it cus they know its amazing....
I was playing it the other night. The beats, riffs were so ahead of it's time. I think no one understood it at the time. It definitely stands up with the passage of time.
@@Alpha_7227 100% mate, it still sounds more modern than U2's newer material and songs like 'If God will send his Angels' I used to despise I now find it brilliant, only song I would have cut was the abysmal 'Playboy Mansion', Holy Joe should have been in its place, getting rid of Nellie Hooper was a mistake, 'Hold me, thrill me kiss me kill me' showed how good he was and I'm pretty sure that's U2's best selling single, could be wrong, its the song that got me into U2 as a kid, 90's U2, and 80's tbf, was the best band on earth, Radiohead being probably the only big band as daring and Radiohead kept the experimentation shame U2 went into safe mode in 2000 onwards, they've had flashes of brilliance in each album but nothing like they used to do and I think we've been robbed from what could have been, imagine the music they could have put out if they held their nerve creatively, shame, I bought Pop i think in March 1997 when I was 14 and it blew me away as did the Popmart tour, I've been waiting a quarter of a century now for them to do it again, they've not released bad albums they've been good and as they said themselves good is the enemy of great, respect from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪
IMO POP was one of the band's most underrated albums. I put NLOTH up there just behind JT and AB. Songs like the album title, magnificent, unknown caller and cedars of lebanon are top class. This is still the world's number 1 band. No band comes close and no band puts on a show like a U2 show.
Fantastic song off an album that hasn't received it's full reception or appreciation yet, which I love. I have a hope (and a hunch) these songs are really going to blossom live...really rising in the U2 pantheon for me.
Gli U2 sono il mio gruppo preferito, le loro canzoni sono stupende, e anche se non sonon più gli u2 di una volta la loro musica è sempre la migliore!!!!!!!!!!!!! U2...vi amoooooooooo............................
Any band that completely changes their syle of rock from (new wave to alternative) and is still a success has to be good! This is why U2 is so awesome! They make good rock with their own unique style!
It's a wonderful thing that some musicians now have been visualizing that maybe the musical business is not affected by the existence of original material available at RUclips or else
U2 the greatest band 2 exist ever! This song is EPIC. No Line on the Horizon is a classic U2 album. Those who view achtung baby and the Joshua tree as superior are older fans who have failed to evolve with the band. As a young U2 fan I can fully appreciate the latest album for the masterpiece it is.
Km on.-. He might not be a Brian May , a Van Halen but his style and sound is unique .. I have ,any U2 albums and a lot of respect for them.. U2 is one of the few bands out there to collect material .. some bands make one album and that is the best and far they can go but U2 have made good music with amazing and with lyrics that really means something.. love these men the more i see them! thanks for sharing. Happy New Year to u and i will be a U2 fan forever til i die. since 1983. The love affair i have w/them will never die.
OMFG!!! Can NOT wait to see this live.... It was already my favorite cut off the album, and to see it like this.... *W*O*W*!!! A million zillion thank-you's to the fine folks of atu2 for the link to this stunning, dazzling, beauteous performance!
After almost twenty five years as a fan of this amazing band, I am still around, Thank you, boys, for the music. You still got that restless feel, that´s great for the future. U24ever!
these looks into the studio are great! We get to really hear the music of U2 from a raw studio perspective instead of the tinny high volume reverberated stadium sound. I can remember seeing a similar video of a performance of 'Please' in the lead-up to the release of Pop. Amazing stuff.
I absolutely adore this song and this performance in particular. Its just such a pure performance, none of that other shite that American audiences seem to like (this is for a British TV show) and its just so amazing. This is one reason that this track is becoming my fave off the new album.
Hey Dave, sorry, ran into this a decade too late. It is, as you say, "...so amazing." Totally agree...but: I am an American and to refute what you say: I don't like "shite." What it is even? Specifically? It is an amazing song, top 10 easy and by far the best on NLOTH. But why the American disparaging? Are you a different Dave 11 years later? I doubt it but really hope so. And by all means, if you are going to insult a nation and it's people, at least clarify what you are talking about. Don't just spew, Dave. What does, "None of that other shite that American audiences seem to like." How do YOU know what I like? What does it even mean? Do you even remember? It's on the internet forever man, assuming you know that, and you are stuck with people like me running into your ignorance. I don't just walk on by. What you said was not okay. And for your information, U2 members (for the most part) aren't Scottish. Just be nice, you have no more right to like them than I do. Neither of us is from their country....so whatever...too much time on a worthless thought. Ciao Dave- J'espere que vous voirez U2 bientot.
This song is freakin' PHENOMENAL. I cannot wait to see their show in SIX more days!!!! (St. Louis). NLOTH is an amazing peice of work. U2 continues to AMAZE. I LOVE you EDGE !!!!
great song, my favourite band ever, there is a bit at the end of that clip that is'nt shown where Bono is saying about the Baas sound, he says something like "its a solid baas part, rocking baas part, really really something, the rest of ya's were Shite"... I laughed when he said that... U2 FOREVER...
Amen to that, Dan. I wish I had a time machine so I could go into the future and see how many of the bands and singers that are popular these days will still be making music in thirty years. Not many, I'd bet.
Ive been in love w/these guys since the 80's and have been following them ever since. Im sorry that ive not been to one of their earlier concerts but I still love their music. They inspire me so much. God bless u guys, u give me hope just hearing u.8-18-21

What a Voice From Bono!! It's vocals are hard and high, like in the old days!! Great Great Performance!! ...thanks for post. U2 is the Greatest
They just don't stop producing brilliant stuff.
This song is a revolution. It's the sound of the future.
