  • In this video tutorial, I will show you how to perform an Autoland using the Zibo 737 X-plane 11 Simulator.
    My goal is to share with you the sequence of the buttons that you need to push in order to set your Zibo 737 X-plane 11 Boeing 737 Auto-Pilot for landing.
    I will perform a quick approach cockpit set up so, I will not go in deep through the Approach chart since I made a separate video about that.
    If you want to know more about how to read an Approach Chart watch the video below:
    • Jeppesen Approach Plat...
    In order to perform a successful Autoland, you need to engage the second Autopilot after you engage the Approach.
    If you follow my steps you will be able to perform an Autoland using the mouse only.
    You also must check that the LAND3 or CMD in green is displayed, also, it is very important to check that at least the FLARE is armed in the FMA of your X-plane Boeing 737.
    If one of these indications are not shown you must perform a go-around.
    The Auto Land is normally performed when the Visibility is low.
    Even if you are performing an Autoland you must be ready to take controls and perform a go-around if anything is wrong.

    In my Zibo mode make sure the other FD is on as well to perform the CMD B. Without both FD are on I was not able to perform autoland. Just in case if it didn’t work for you!

    If you want to choose Cat 2 approach instead of Cat 3, how would the procedure change?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  2 года назад

      Mínimas would be different and some procedures, you could even do a manual landing on cat2

    If the autopilot is turned off, (Cat I approach) and the A/T are left on, will the A/T retard the throttles at 27' RA?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад

      I have never tried it! However, if I think about the logic of the autopilot I would say the AT would not retard at 27ft..

    IN Zibo is misssing at 360 FT RA stabilizer triming...PMDG can simulate it

      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад

      Yes..I noticed that as well, I know there is a new version of the ZIBO, may be it simulates it now..

    Great video. When autoland is in roll mode do you have to manually engage reverse thrusters and manually disconnect auto throttle and auto pilot?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  2 года назад

      Yes, thrust reversers must be manually deployed, Auto throttle depends on the aircraft model...

    Good job explaining and thanks for sharing
    Where do you get your landing information to put it in the autopilot?

      A little late but i hope it still helps, theres a option in the config Ipad of the Zibo in the System settings/management where you can anable/disable the Rollout feature, since in IRL not all Aircrafts have this feature included, as the airline operating the aircraft chooses the options that go over to the manufacture :)

    Hi
    Thank you for your explication
    Can you explain to us about the boeing 737-800 full auto land in XPLANE MOBILE

      Hey, I hope you are doing great!
      Many thanks for watching the Videos,
      I will take into consideration your suggestion, I have to admit I'm not familiar with that app.
      Does not work on the Boeing 737 of the Mobile xplane If you do the same buttons sequence during the approach?
      Don't hesitate to comment with your question when you watch the videos!

      Thank you for your answer. Could you please explain to us how we could use double CMD from the beginning? I tried it. This Xplane didn't work.

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад +1

      Hey, many thanks for your comment, If you engage the second autopilot during any operation that is Not the approach it will simply switch the Autopilot, making one Autopilot to drop. In order to have double Autopilot you need to capture the glide slope and arm approach before the second Autopilot.
      Try again and let me know if that works 👍
      I wish you a great day

      Hello, I thank you very much for your cooperation with me and for your answers and I hope you will help me until I reach my goal I have tried what I mentioned and I capture the glide slope and the arm approach before the second autopilot, but what happened to the autopilot switch. Can you teach me the steps from the beginning in order to get to the operation of the autopilots by entering the frequency of ils, and if there are other things that I must do with the buttons .......

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад +1

      @@lebnenbeirut340 Hey, very nice to see that you want to learn and evolve.
      Try this sequence before intercepting the ILS:
      1. Set the ILS frequencies on the NAV radios (both of them)
      2. Set the Final Approach Course in the MCP (both of them)
      3. Set the minima to 50 ft RADIO using the Efis Control Panel.
      Once close to the ILS:
      1. Arm APPROACH.
      2. Engage the Second Autopilot.
      When passing 500ft on final you should see a white small FLARE on the FMA.
      Try this sequence and let me know!
      You will manage to use 2 autopilots it is just a matter of time!
      I wish you a great day!
