- This is a tutorial on how to fly a Procedural ILS approach using the autopilot modes on the Boeing 737-800 in X-Plane using the Zibo Mod.
This tutorial will also give you some insight into Standard Operating Procedures and callouts during the approach.
The most detailed tutorial on the subject so far. Love it Thank you
Thanks for your comment, I’m glad you found it useful!
I got it in one video and it was my first time bravo still really useful until 2024!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I was having a heck of a time getting these landings to go smoothly and you filled in a lot of blanks for me. :)
Glad it helped!
Thank you captain, for this video. Really instructional, since real landing videos might not explain everything, but you did. Best detailed explanation I've seen so far.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this tutorial!! The info I learned is priceless. Cheers
No worries, I will do some more 737 ones, I'm waiting to see if the PMDG one comes out soon for MSFS as it should hopefully be a decent product! I've got an RNAV approach one that you might find useful though in the meantime: ruclips.net/video/WLu_-Cc2t34/видео.html
@@Taylair :)
Thank you so much for this. It has really helped me fly the 737 more realistically
Glad it helped!
Great tutoriorial that i will be using as a go to for improving my landings/approach, many thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice, a very real profi procedure. I enjoyed it very much! I'm online flying with ATC most of the time and there are some details like watching the standby gauge LOC and G/S before indicated on the PFD.
This is a current procedure used at Bristol airport (EGGD). Yes, watching the glide slope on the standby gauge is really helpful to avoid getting too high and having too much energy on the approach! I’m glad you found the video useful. More 737 stuff will be coming soon!
Terrific tutorial, well done sir. Thanks for your time and effort in producing this. Cleared up many questions I have had regarding the ILS in Zibo.
You're very welcome! I'm glad you found it useful.
The best tutorial so far, tks
Glad it helped!
Thank you for this tutorial.
Glad it was helpful!
This is the best tutorial I've seen on the subject, thank you. Subscribing.
Thanks for Subscribing, I’ll be uploading more shortly!
@@Taylair there's a real A320 pilot making great tutorials out there, and I'm glad we also have the Boeing side covered now.
hi, silly question but forgive an 83 year old! I want to follow your video but unclear as to how I can set the aircraft up to the correct position for the start of you video. I know x-plane has the facility to start a flight from either 3 or 10 miles out. The other question is that because I am quite slow how can I give myself time to enter everyting in the fmc.
Nice tutorial video, very well explanation.
great tutorial!
Glad you found it useful! I’ll be uploading more so keep an eye on the channel :)
@@Taylair Will do!
Could you make a video on how to initiate a missed approach procedure? Thanks.
Great suggestion!
It was a professional tutorial. My brain hurts. Thanks.
I hope it doesn't hurt too much!
@@Taylair 😂
So anyone with flight sim now becomes a ‘real 737 airline pilot’. Unbelievable!
How do i know on what altitude i should be for the ILS?
The Intercept altitudes are on the approach plate. After you have intercepted, keep the glideslope dot in the middle. Check out these ILS videos: ruclips.net/video/6UoKw2jHUkg/видео.html, ruclips.net/video/hevlLmcVQDA/видео.html they might help
@@Taylair Ok thanks mate
thx
Thanks for watching!
Non standard as BOEING FCOM
Hi, which part are you referring to?
another fantastic tutorial, tnx!
Thanks again!
@@Taylair sir; may i ask you two questions - you said " flaps down / maneuvering speed" and dial it in. where to you get this speed from? second; some people turn the altitute all the way down to zero when decending - are you doing this in real world also or is this simply wrong? thank you and greetings from LOWG.
The flap maneuver speed shows up on the speed tape on the PFD when the flaps are selected. I don’t think I’ve ever had to set 0 on the MCP in real world operations so no, that’s not normal.
@@Taylair thank you very much for your answer!
