My trust into any roman catholic churches, convents and their nuns, priests and other co-workers - got totally disturbed - most of the people in the world today lost their trust too.
Many will take lay sisters or brothers, all they ask is that you pay what you can for your keep and work as the nuns/monks do. Worth asking. I am seriously considering this for the Tyburn Benedictine nuns in Rotorua, NZ. At 60 I am too old to take vows.
Benidict nuns do you 100% have a good caring heart? If you honestly cared of what i ask for this request. Are you good with promise to agree to help & send me a miracle to be rescued by caring & loving wealthy person? I need to have better life. You must fully agreed to help me like a caring biological parents.

How old are you? There are some contemplative orders that will take you at age fifty! You could also start your own religious community.
Eastern Orthodox monasteries do not have age restrictions.
