I love this physicians content. Hes so clear, to the point, and easy to understand. Favorite fertility youtuber by far
The bottom line made me feel better about not having it done. This is only our second round. Thank you for all you do to help us understand this crazy time in our lives!
I love the ivf clinic that I used, but they tried to see if I'd buy the era. I was 37 with one 4aa euploid, clean hycosy. My cycle was an all inclusive package and I felt it was just a way to bank another $1200+. I declined bc I already viewed videos saying the 6th day of progesterone was optimal for fet. I think it was one day before ovulation and 5 days afterwards. I used both the injection and vag tab. My pregnancy strips had faint lines 3 days later. I couldn't imagine having to drive 6 hours each way and waste a cycle, plus pay medications, ultrasounds and the test, on top of my package price. What I wish they would have done differently was give me levothyroxine and have me test/increase my vitamin d ahead of time so that my eggs could have received the benefit during my first ER.
Thanks Dr, I have been waiting for you to cover this topic for a while thanks so much it well understood.
Our pleasure
Thank you Dr.
Your videos are always informative and fun to watch
Thank you
@@InfertilityTV hello dr how can i reach you?
Love love love this
So glad, glad glad you like it! Keep watching!
Hello Dr. Morris. I started an ERA test but it was cancelled because my progesterone level was 4 on the lining check/progesterone blood draw date. My cycles are usually 28 days. This was my protocol. I wasn't on BC. I started Estradiol patches on Day 4 of my cycle (Started with 2 patches). Changed patches on Day 6 (3 patches and continued to change every 3 days) The uterine lining check and P4 blood test was done on cycle Day 16. The progesterone level was 4 and Uterine lining was 10mm. The cycle was cancelled because of the P4 level. Do you have any suggestions of what can be done differently to avoid spontaneous ovulation next time? Will being on BC for a couple of weeks prior to the estrogen patches help? Thank you so much.
if progesterone was 312 4 days past 3 day fresh is it best to do era before frozen
I think i need to do it before starting stimulation specially that my parents are cousins i dont know if it has an impact but i prefer to do it
Hello, my gynaecologist has prescribed only the HCG injection for the era test , is it normal ? Would the era test work without taking progesterone? Thank you
but what happens in people with low bmi of15!!
After failed transfer would an era be done before another egg retrieval or after?
If you are going on a natural ovulation cycle do you still need an era?
Hi.. my 1st cycle i had an early miscarriage n 2nd cycle with blastocyst 3AB did not implant..so should i do era test before 3rd transfer..
Era test is only valuable for frozen embryo transfer??? Not fresh transfer
I had my first FET and it failed, should I consider doing ERA before trying again for the next transfer? Thank you Doc
Check back this Thursday. I am releasing a new video about the ERA test which has now been around for 10 years
My first transfer didn't work, so will consider this if multiple fail.
Some doctors might do this test after 1 failure especially if the embryos were tested and known to be chromosomally normal
@@InfertilityTV they were donated embryos. They haven't suggested it yet.
Hello Steph Haywood,
Please update your ivf journey..
Hello doctor,
I have had 4 chemical pregnancies (concieved naturally).
Then went for ivf.
Cycle 1 failed even after transferring 2 pgs tested embryos.
Then got ERA done. Its result was - EARLY RECEPTIVE BY 12 HOURS.
So i want to know is there any connection between my naturally concieved pregnancies and this ERA result?
There is no connection that I am aware of
@@InfertilityTV hello doctor
How should I proceed now...I am confused...
Do women with Endometriosis and no prior attempts, benefit from an ERA the very first go?
Normal weight women with no previous failures have a low chance for finding an abnormal ERA test
I had two failed FET with no implementation. Each time two embryos were transferred and they were high and good quality. Would you recommend doing the ERA? My BMI is 31.8.
Thx
Our recommendations about ERA are changing based on a number of new studies. Watch for a new episode of Infertility coming in the next few weeks
@@InfertilityTV Thanks for the reply. Sure , I’ll be waiting to hear what’s new about the ERA. I just don’t feel comfortable doing a 3rd transfer just like the previous two that failed. I’m already terrified about losing more embryos. Losing 4 in just two transfers sounds too much. I talked with my doctor about the ERA and she thinks it’s probably a good idea to do it👍🏼
@@DentistReRo sory to hear that you lost your e embryos, you did ERA test? Is that helpful to get pregnant? I asked you because my two FET are unsuccessful like you
Will strep b streptococcus also affect outcome of pregnancy and if tested positive what is the best way to treat it ?
Group B strep is not associated with fertility problems but may cause problems for a baby after birth - especially if born prematurely
Infertility TV what is the best cure for strep b streptococcus?
Hi
I had 1 cycle of IVF, it is failed, my dr suggest ERA test it is possible to get pregnant at this cycle with ERA???
If an ERA is being done, there is no attempt to conceive during that cycle.
I had a fet results in a chemical pregnancy with 86 hours of progesterone per my doctors protocol (4 nights of pio vs 5) . I am considered obese. Would I benefit from era even though i had implantation on doctors protocol?
There is no evidence that I am aware of that doing an ERA will improve the chance for live birth in women who have had or more biochemical pregnancies
Hey did u get ERA done ?
Can a patient have an ERA test before a transfer to be sure? Why do doctors let patients have multiple failed transfers and then recommend the test?
As stated in the video: "Couples who have never failed an embryo transfer, have a low chance for finding an abnormal result. Somewhere around 5-10%"
Exactly. Why not doing the test at first!!
Hi, i have had 2 chemical pregnancies with 3 high quality pgd tested frozen embryos. The chemical pregnancies were ‚barely‘ that-the hcg never got above 20. I have just contacted my clinic regarding this to start the ERA cycle at the end of next week. Am I just wasting my money?
Yes
Infertility TV ok not the answer I was looking for or expecting! But thank you so much for the reply.
I think the doctor means chemical means you did have implantation at a normal time.. twice. So you were already shown to have a normal implantation window
@@InfertilityTV But according to Simon‘s pepaer (2017 in the Fertility and Sterility journal ): The late receptive profile was statistically significantly associated with a lower OPR (P=.025) and with a potential high risk of biochemical pregnancies (P=.011) in comparison with the optimal receptive profile (RR).
Hey how did u proceed then? Got done ERA or not....
