Passing the Aston around the outside at 3:15 had me slightly clenched
Amazing how that RX8 passes the Aston on the outside of the corner, that's some great handling, even with the superior power of the Prelude and Aston, that RX8 is just there with insane cornering, just some more tuning to that B20 rotary and the lap times will be going down by a lot!.
This makes me want a 3rd gen prelude. Out there doing WORK! It broke circuit track records when first released, and apparently still is. lol
Don't, keep it stock or have 50k to make one of these. Not a insult, we need these cars to stay around. I've had three of them and they are a pure drivers car. They get mistreated because they are so cheap..

That prelude driver was trying so hard to block the 8. As soon as the 8 got past him, he was done for lol
the prelude pulled away on the straights. it was much faster. looked like it had an issue in the later laps.

Prelude : fast asf
Mazda : great turning and screams
Aston : alot of commitment 😂

@@rubberrocket7620 it dominated the sports sedan class in late 90/00 in NZ - as it was a cheap option for quick power plus dual charged

I wonder what that 20b is tuned to.. (boost and power figures) also if its had any port work done.. this was a super fun video to watch, but I get the impression that the 20b has a pretty conservative tune on it.. 20b's can make some stupid power!!!!
As far as I know the 20B is peripheral ported and naturally aspirated in this video. In the Grand Am Rolex series it was making about 450hp but I'm sure here it's been tweaked for more. Look up Ingram Brothers Racing on facebook, they have some build photos and are going to add a turbo.

What is under the hood of that lude wow. All cars really tried
This is how the prelude should of come from the factory rwd and turbocharged, always liked the 3rd gen.prelude running a s2000 turbo f20c engine fully built 600hp-700hp+ , RX8 is running a 20b triple rotary engine turbo fully built not sure of hp probably about the same as prelude .
rx8 is 20b na just ported and my guess is about 450hp or more
I like that 3rd gen I care less for the rx8 more of a rx7 fc to Fd type and older
