    I love the older Surefires too. I just love the E1L E2L E1B original LEDs. I bought them all back when they were out. Maybe they're not as powerful as the later lights, but I just enjoy these lights. I've gone back to Surefire for my EDC this year (Sidekick and G2X Pro 600lm) and I'm really enjoying it because they delight me. Maybe there are others out there with better specs on paper or more versatile in terms of batteries, but I'm starting to realise I just enjoy carrying Surefire more.

    Any chance you can list all your modifications with model numbers and links to purchase?

    My first Surefire I bought was a 6P with the Xenon bulb, the runtime is horrible at one hour, but it is built just as good as the newer ones, with a superior beam pattern to most other companies lights. I later bought a G2 LED and swapped out the lamp assemblies so I could have a 6P LED as I preferred the Aluminum body of the 6P and the 12-hour runtime and higher Lumens of the LED. I recently bought a Tactician and it’s been my favorite Surefire so far.

    That reminds me I still have an E2D incandescent in my drawer. Do you think I could buy the latest head and stick it on?

    Where did you get the tailcap shroud? I like how low-profile it is.

    Awesome video bro! I've had the chance before to scoop one of these bad boys up but unfortunately never went through with it! I don't own any surefires but the E1E has always been one of my favorite platforms for EDC. Cool video glad to see you back! Btw are you in any of the FB flashlight groups?

    Strange question but how is the fit on your 6p head with the triple drop in? I’m finding some issues with my triple being too big for the head and leaving a gap

    Where is a good place to buy one of these new/old stock or used for a reasonable price?

    • @Precogvision
      @Precogvision  4 года назад

      R Mac eBay minus reasonable price. Nobody has stocked them in years, and they’re only available through the secondary market. Maybe if you get lucky you can snag one off CPF or FB groups, that’s where I’ve seen them lowest (think ~$130s) used.

      @@Precogvision Thank you for taking the time to reply. So, I was able to recently score an E1E and a Lumamax LX2. I was wondering if you can share with me we to get an LED replacement (like the Tana you show) and tail-cap stand,? Thank you in advance for your time and reply.

      @Precogvision  4 года назад

      If you don’t want to get one through Tana, check out Lumens Factory. They make replacement drop-ins at a reasonable price and are quality. For the tail cap stand on the E1E, you can get a Surefire Z68 or tail shroud from Lumens Factory too. You can’t replace the LED on the LX2 short of modding it.
      And congrats on the new lights!

      Dude, get that thing a battery! It's still such a great, solid torch today. You can totally upgrade the internals with a drop-in too.

      No, I’m sorry, I don’t! There’s a lot of good info about them on CPF, or you can always contact Tana directly via Facebook.

    Can you tell me the page on Facebook I need to contact for the LED drop in please

  • @nojustno8468

    Nope on the $130 flashlight and yes on the Streamlight Protac $32 which is smaller, accepts lithium, AA or AAA batteries.....simple decision, right? Don‘t buy it for the name only, unless you got an extra $100+ dollars lying around you want to burn.
