I still remember my first trip to Bangkok (back in the early 90's). It was like arriving on Mars! First night in the hotel...there was an elephant outside my hotel room (in the middle of the city?? WTF!!!). Stayed with a friend who I worked with in my Dad's restaurant.....stayed in his grandpa's old shop in a part of Bangkok earmarked for destruction to build a freeway....eating food on the side of a busy road traffic mm away as a million stray cats, dogs and rats ran around under the table whilst I ate the BEST THAI I HAD EVER TASTED!!! Enjoy the trip. China Town is so awesome in BKK!!!

My first overseas holiday when I was 19 was gifted by my parents. I loved it then and love it as much now and wish to move here one day. I come here every 6 months and due to covid I couldn't come back for 3 years and I'm finally back and it feels so good to hear and see Thai

Hello Paddy, I have been in Bangkok since January and I have been studying Thai since January also. Your videos have inspired me. It's so funny that you will be doing a meetup at soi 11 in Nana because my hotel is literally two buildings north of the rooftop bar. It will take me 30 seconds to walk there. I finally came back to thailand too, me and my wife go to hatyai where she is from, ive been really slack with learning thai as ive been with her 5 years now. I want to learn as much thai as i can for next time to surprise her family when i come back. I try to learn about 5 sentences a day, its already hard enough learning a different language but all the tones aswell, it will take time but i hope to be fluent within a few years, love your videos 👌🏻✊

I finally got back to Thailand in July and it’s so good to be here. My connecting flight from the Gold Coast was cancelled so I almost didn’t get here. After the struggle of getting out of Australia it is so good to be in the freedom and openness and spirituality of Thailand.
