I agree. Out of the whole family, we live in the smallest house. However, throughout the years, we were the ones who hosted every holiday, every year. Everyone would tell us they liked being at our house. Always lots of fun & lots of love. We didn’t mind & got quite organized about it. Always wished for a bigger house, but we made it work. That is so smart to have an end-of-life bucket! It's never a "convenient" time when someone passes and people might be in shock and grieving. What a wonderful gift to those left behind to have everything taken care of and easily accessible! I love your channel ❤❤
I love the idea of the end of life bucket! My husband passed away 6 weeks ago and I was at a total loss about what to do. I knew he wanted to be cremated, but wasn’t sure what to do next. After giving it a lot of thought, I do remember him saying several times that I should take a trip with my sister and scatter his ashes in the ocean. Remembering that helped me when the funeral director asked if I wanted an urn or a clock to store his remains. Honestly, at the time something like this happens, everything we have talked about over the years flew right out of my brain. It would have been SO helpful to have his wishes written down somewhere. As soon as I get over the initial hump of everything that needs to be done during the first two months, an end of life box or file is going on my project list!

When I use 1 ply toilet paper, I end up using twice as much 😵💫 Thank you for the tour of your lovely home, Dawn. I used to pick up 3 items from every room to donate when I came home from my travel work assignments. That meant it was about 3-6 months in between those declutterings. Now, I keep a bin in the living room for donations. I think I've seen you do the same thing. I like the idea of limiting it to 5 minutes. Years ago, I read or heard that if we move 27 items a day in a room, it'll become clean, cleared and decluttered in no time. I got my upstairs bathroom in good shape by doing that.
I love how you admit that you do have an occasional failure. So many of us would never admit it. Love your home. We were always so happy to be mortgage free. You would love to visit me for a week in August. Lucy’s hometown and a huge festival every August with people from every state. Pantries are relative. Yours is far larger than what I've available. Never heard comment about amount of stuff in European homes - I knew we had to on average have less. I reckon for our family of 2 in about 800 sq ft in europe its lower.

When I use 1 ply toilet paper, I end up using twice as much 😵💫
Thank you for the tour of your lovely home, Dawn.
Thank you! I've said the same thing!
I love how you admit that you do have an occasional failure. So many of us would never admit it. Love your home. We were always so happy to be mortgage free. You would love to visit me for a week in August. Lucy’s hometown and a huge festival every August with people from every state. A big Comedy Center, Lucy museum which has a lot of her things donated by her family.
I would love to visit you.
Yes have a project list and chip away every month but paper towels at dollar tree plus the trash bags are only 1.25
That sounds very smart
I am wanting to sell our big house with pool and move into something much smaller. Although I work constantly to keep everything up, your videos are helping me stay organized and realize everything doesn't have to be perfect!
Thank you
Your pantry looks so organized. I need to work on mine. ❤
You can do it!
Dawn
.r awesome!!..
I like your lazy susan in your pantry. Take care
Thank you
Pantries are relative. Yours is far larger than what I've available.
Never heard comment about amount of stuff in European homes - I knew we had to on average have less. I reckon for our family of 2 in about 800 sq ft in europe its lower.
We have the same kitchen floor as you 😊
Dawn, you have a beautiful home! To be mortgage free and consumer debt free is amazing! You run a tight ship!
What you need an Oscar for is your organizational skills!
Your refrigerator and Pantry looks great! You should give classes on how to throw out before restoring items classes! Great information!🏆😁💖
You are so kind
I think you could go without shopping for one whole week....!!! Thanks for showing....😮
So true!

But if one finds a great deal on something that has a long shelf life, personally I’ll buy a few extra. It’s just saving me money ahead of time instead of needing it 2-4 weeks from now and paying full price. 😊
Great ideas
Glad you like them!
Watching your video, I realized that you must not have a basement? That’s got to be a challenge on organizing.
You are right. I miss having a basement
Homes in Texas rarely have basements. That's more of an extreme cold area.
@@maryprincipe8200 Lol, well that would be my state of Michigan!
Never had a basement during my time in Florida or various areas of California. No attics either.
I am going to start a cash envelope for groceries and putting receipts in to keep up with and see if what I am purchasing to see if it is a good deal or wait until it goes on sale
That's a great idea!
Does that fireplace work if it does that would help in winter
Yes it does
Another good video!
Thanks again!
Dawn do you have a pet..just wondering ❤❤❤you have a lovely home to be proud of🎉your organisational skills put me to shame, must try harder😂😂😂you should write a book Dawn 😊I think your house is bigger than mine 😮
Hi. I have an outdoor kitty named Lord Tubington
Do you go to food banks or clothes closet give away to save money ? I have thought about it but haven’t done it yet.
No, but I think they are wonderful resources
❤❤❤
Never eat out more than twice a month yes portion control and eating fewer meals per day congratulations on your weight loss money mom
Yes I need to take inventory of what I have so I don't buy something I already have sorry for all the comments
Same here
I use instant coffee so I don't waste coffee
We always ask ourselves if we have the ability to make something ourselves before we purchace it. Will it be better? Will it be less expensive?
Cheese? The answer is no. I can make small portions of poor quality cheese that cost more per ounce than good cheese.
Bread? Yes. I can do it better and for less.
I just do a buy nothing year and the men when it is over I buy what I need as gifts etc everything else I get for free I do a ton of trades
Great idea
I have been so poorly with a sinus infection and I have always been frugal , sometimes when I have illnesses I think why was I so frugal, do anyone feel like this as well 😢
Hi Susan! Yes I sometimes feel that way when I am sick. But then I think of the fact that if I hadn't been frugal I would be worried about money on top of feeling ill....I hope you soon feel better PS Have you tried a neti pot vs Antibiotics? Seems to get better results and you don't have to recover from the antibiotic side effects
@@eileenlennon-burns7020 no but I will look into it
Hope you feel better
