That looks so much better! Amazing how these little touches. elevate even a humble cotton T-shirt. I love tutorials like this, so thank you so much, Alisa. Take care of yourself in all the madness. ❤🙏🌷
Hi Kerstin 💛💙 so glad you found the tutorial useful... I think the secret is not in fancy fabrics and loud designs but in small details like this, like you said a humble t-shirt transforms into something more upscale 🥰😍
Thank you. I tried this technique for the first time with my Closet Core t shirt but with the self fabric, not twill tape. Now you've inspired me to look for beautiful coloured twill tape. That blue is my colour too.
I think I might do the next one with the self fabric bias tape too, you've inspired me now 😘😘🎀 I have quite a few items in my wardrobe in that blue colour, it's lovely isn't it? ❤️❤️
I clearly need a collection of twill tapes because this is such a beautiful finish! Mine have never looked as neat as yours, but I've used a slightly different technique. I'm definitely going to try this method. Great tutorial, thanks Alisa!
I'm so happy that you like it!!! I've got a few different colours tapes, and every time I go fabric shopping I pick up 3 metres of another colour or two... It's so much fun 😘😘
Would you still topstitch around the neckline? I want to finish the neck with tape but wasnt sure if you should Topstitch after all or do the tape and no topstitch? Thanks
Hi Ashley, do you mean the front of the neckline? I usually complete the neckline as advised in garment's instructions and then do the tape afterwards 🤗
I usually use a coverstitch for around the neck. But wasn't sure if that should be done when finishing the back neckline like this since you can see the stitches from the back. Thanks
@@ashley0921 I think you can still do this finish on top, just turn the ends of the cotton tape under at the sides and stitch the tape along top and bottom long sides. Perhaps practice on the old t shirt first 😁 And make sure to baste first, it will keep everything in place for sure! 💖
