I'd never have known Hey Ocean! exists if not for A.J. and everybody's favorite pegasus pony. But had I known about the band, I'd have kept listening, ponies or no ponies. Awesome sound.
I came from the Hey Ocean-concert in cologne. It was pure awesomenes. Live is she very good and has a very strong and beautiful voice. Now I have gotten an autograph and a photo with her. >.< Now I have photos with Libman and Ball. :D
She was totaly awesome. It was in a small..."pub" I guess(I'm german) where she performed. One time she walked through the audience and back and was really relaxed by it. And of course she can play the flute very good. It was really cool not to see her so stiff and stuff.

Hey Ocean is GREAT. As a drummer for the past 34 yrs., I have to give kudos to their drummer, very tasteful playing bro! The whole band is fantastic, and Ashleigh.... well, one can only say, "You ROCK!" :)
This song is great in so many ways. I love the rhythm, and the way Ashleigh bounces to it. Her voice is really addicting, it's really jazzy and playful.

I live by Chicago, on one of the Great Lakes. Hey Ocean! has toured in many places on the Great Lakes (Sarnia, T-Bay, Toronto, Kingston, etc.) Therefore, Hey Ocean! should tour here too!

Aside from being a fan of Ashleigh's performance in FiM, I found not just this song but almost all the others posted to be pretty darn fantastic. I don't know. There's just something...nostalgic about them. The sound takes me back to the music of the late 90s, before everything went Blagh. Safe to say, I'm a pretty solid fan now.

Heard them live in Victoria a couple months ago, thought they were very good. Then the other day I heard this song playing in a store and liked it, so I asked the guy working there. He was like "uhh... someone called 'Hey Ocean'" And I was all "REALLY!? NICE!" I think it's always a good sign when a band I like manages to impress me without me knowing it's them. It feels validating as a fan. I will definitely be listening more! Oh, yeah, and MLP is cool too I guess.
