Same!! I never use stitch markers because they're usually a bit of a hassle, but this kind was super easy with minimal fussing w/ it! Definitely doing it this way from now on.
Love this! My 39 year old son is going to love it too. He comes in and snatches every hat I make. I have made him two of your gentleman's scarves, a pattern I love to make. I apologise for the length of this but I have to thank you. I am a very experienced crocheter, but there have been two stitches I have not been able to master; the crocodile stitch and the crab stitch. I have watched many tutorials but still couldn't do them. But thanks to you I can now do both. I want to thank you and your dad for taking the time to make your instructions precise and crystal clear. Can't wait to make this hat!
I made this hat for my 9 year old son. He loves it. I love your tutorials. You make it so easy to follow and your voice is so pleasant. Thank you for this.
This is the first crochet project I've actually done to completion and I couldn't be happier The pattern looks magnificent and is so much easier than anticipated (you are godsend for explaining this so thoroughly THANK YOU) I know it's been years but if anyone is still crocheting this, note that the measurments are very accurate but for my personal preference I could have made the brim tighter as the weight in the back pulls at the hat a tiny bit but that's on me since I elongated the cap a little more. I hope you know how wonderful you and your crafts are!
I just finished my first cap ... it is SOOO adorable!! I had never done anything like this before and since I had both colors on hand AND grandchildren who I know would want this, I had no excuse not to. The color variations can be endless with this cap. You made it very easy to follow, as you do with all your videos, and fun! Oh yes, this was also the first project using my awesome wood hook ... now I see why you love yours so much. My Mother loves the one I got for her also. Thank You both very much!!
I’ve never crocheted before and I’m still going to try this out cuz I love it so much! It could go terribly wrong, but I guess I’ll never know if I don’t try!
Love this pattern! I just finished making this hat for a friend who loves link from Zelda and I couldn't be more excited to give it to her. Thank you for taking time to make videos like this one☺️
Thanks so much for this wonderful pattern, you are a great teacher. And that bit where you start the reverse scs at 35 mins in, I had to watch your instruction a few times before I got it right. At first mine were just looking like a regular sc stitch but I persevered. :) What a cool hat! And now I am starting to "stalk you" (teehee) because your voice is soothing to listen to and your many fantastical and beautiful crochet items are so much fun!
I made it for my husband and my 15 month old son. it was perfect, for my husband I did it with crochet hook n 5 and for my son 3.5 it was beautiful, I loved it. thanks for this video
Omg!!! I love Zelda and i have plenty of Zelda fans in my family that would go loco🤣 and get this for christmas. Thank you and your dad for making this video we so appreciate it 😙
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just made mine and it's awesome!!!! The winter is here in Brazil and I can't wait to use it, even if i'm staying home!! :3
Love the hat but I wasn't a fan of the big braid knot inside the hat so I sewed down the braid then cut them, much cleaner. Thank you for the step by step tutorial, not many of you around anymore. Everyone wants to charge 🙄 I really appreciate you! 😀
Great pattern. I made it in red and black for my 7 year old grandson. It took me longer to do the reverse single crochet swirl than to make the hat. But well worth it. I did change one thing. I started the embellishment at the top of the pattern so the knot was not at the lower part of the hat. Thank you for sharing. If I could figure out a way to post a picture, I would.
Thank you so much! I love this pattern I made a multicoloured one at Christmas for my mum and have since been asked to make more I am currently in my ninth and am still going. Great fun to make and looks great in bright colours too.
❤❤I love zelda a lot and my mom wouldn't buy me one so we were so glad to find this we and luckly we already knew how to crochet and this will help alot with my Halloween costume and my mom loves to make this and listening to the song of storms well making this thank you ❤❤
I love this hat! I made it for my secret santa at work and i might make myself one. I made it red and switched to white at the brim and put a ball at the end.
love your videos, i was hoping to see a princess link to go with this one, if you ever come up with one that would be amazing. I know how much work it is to make your own patterns. I make my own all the time. I am in middle of making the princess one, but wow its taking forever lol. Keep up the awesome videos!
If you are skipping ahead to make a baby or toddler hat, round 36 instructions start at 25:22. Leave three stitches undone on your last round so you can properly finish the spiral.
I love this hat ,ive never made a hat before ive just started freeform crocheting but getting a bit in a muddle at times lol, i wanna do this changing colours and also maybe only ribbing it now n again instead of every row, would that still work the aamw do you know? x
what would be the pattern for making a hat with Bernat Blanket Yarn ? like will it end up being huge if i follow this exact pattern or will it turn out to be normal size ? ♥️
yarnutopia by any chance can u possibly make a video on how to make a minnie mouse christmas blanket or anything of the kind i want to make one for my 3 year old niece
ME TOO! I used an H hook, 5mm as directed with #4 weight Red Heart yarn. Followed along on the tutorial, all stitch and row counts to perfection. Written pattern says the adult size should've measured 23" circumference and 20" long. Mine was the OPPOSITE! 20" circumference by 23" long. This turned out to be a child 's size hat, NOT an adults! Cute pattern, takes almost a whole skein and ALOT of work on that reverse sc stitch!!!!
Hi Nadia! I really absolutely love this pattern and can't even say how much I appreciate you putting it up, and for FREE! I have this yarn I really would love to use for this pattern, but it is a 5 weight, bulky, but it is a pretty thin bulky. I was going to try it with the 5mm hook to try to keep it as true to yours as possible, and maybe stop sooner around the band to just make it the correct size. Is this what you would recommend?
Idk how but my hat grew it be a huge circumference around. I have followed step by step but I am assuming I did something wrong somewhere. Now I’m having to pull it all out and start over as this is supposed to be a gift
Lorell Hurley. I believe around row 20 there is a point where she says to stop there and skip to row 35 our 36 of the written pattern. Written pattern is in the description.
Nadja, this is such a beautiful pattern for Elf.. but i am afraid i wont be able to catch up because you are speaking alittle too fast =) Thank you for sharing
i know you probably dont look at these comments anymore but this is the most genius way of doing a stitch marker and it helped me so much
Same!! I never use stitch markers because they're usually a bit of a hassle, but this kind was super easy with minimal fussing w/ it! Definitely doing it this way from now on.

I’ve never crocheted before and I’m still going to try this out cuz I love it so much! It could go terribly wrong, but I guess I’ll never know if I don’t try!
I hope it went well. If not, that's a part of the fun of learning. I can't tell you how many failed book covers I've made
Love this pattern! I just finished making this hat for a friend who loves link from Zelda and I couldn't be more excited to give it to her. Thank you for taking time to make videos like this one☺️

Reverse single crochet is great for trimming brims of hats.
Love it.
yarnutopia by any chance can u possibly make a video on how to make a minnie mouse christmas blanket or anything of the kind i want to make one for my 3 year old niece
So I used to make these hats quite regularly and now they are too small? What am I messing up on. I'm using an H hook.
What size hook are you using? Mine turned out tiny
Mine too!

Do u have written instructions for the contrasting color. It's not in the pattern I printed.
I really need the correct pattern.
Muy lindo, se parece al de los Duendes, gracias saludos.
Wonderful thank you! Can you adapt this pattern at all to be a hood for a poncho? Please?
Idk how but my hat grew it be a huge circumference around. I have followed step by step but I am assuming I did something wrong somewhere. Now I’m having to pull it all out and start over as this is supposed to be a gift
😍thanks Dad
If I want to make this hat in a super chunky yarn and J crochet hook, should I increase less? I'm assuming it will turn out way bigger
Awesome!!!
Hi Nadia! It's possible to send that hook to Spain? 🤔
Question! Is it ok if i want to increase more? My fiance has a large head and i was wondering if this would make a difference
Hi
This is great! How can I make this for a 6-12 month size? I went back and forth thru the video to look, but, could not find sizing? thanks!
Lorell Hurley. I believe around row 20 there is a point where she says to stop there and skip to row 35 our 36 of the written pattern. Written pattern is in the description.
I've never done crochet. Is this a good beginner pattern?
Super exciter
Thank you dad
Thank you ❤✨
I am just starting the hat and for some reason after I have finished round 11 it seems to be way smaller then yours what am I doing wrong
Love it thank you
Its ironic that one of the yarns has "Thyme" in it
I'm glad you saw what I did there ;)
I thought it was pretty cool! ~Nadia

Si può tradurre in italiano
Muy bonito pero no sé cómo traducirlo al español
???
is this actually a Legend of Zelda hat?
