Note about the resolution issue as I’ve been seeing a lot of comments about it recently: I’ve been working on the resolution issue behind the scenes since they got the new camera. It was set to record in 4k when they first got it, which looks crystal clear when pulled up in files but the moment I put the clips into my editing software the quality decreases and the dimensions are off. They recorded A LOT of footage with the new camera before realizing it was in 4k. I’m thinking my software isn’t really compatible with it somehow, so I’ve been experimenting with exporting the videos differently and I think I’ve finally found a solution (hopefully). We’re not super ahead on video scheduling so if this works, you should see a difference very soon. If it doesn’t work, at least hopefully the new clips will not have been recorded in 4k lol Also as far as the scheduling goes - they recorded so much footage in December that we’re a little further behind than we would like. We’re working on getting caught up but I am pregnant and have been VERY sick for the past 8 weeks. So for the moment, we’re not scheduled very far out for videos but we are working on it. Thanks guys!
Just a note: the Overflow parking and luggage is not really an issue. You pull up to the hotel, drop your fellow travelers and all the luggage and then go park at the overflow and walk back. Simple and relatively easy. Great vid!
Everything Auto out rescuing vehicles and removing parking violators. Unfortunately, even church going folk make bad decisions at times. Keep up the great work EA team, "we appreciate ya!"

Someone just sent me this vid (I'm the Virginia dude with the bad hair lol). Even though I was a bit freaked out, I appreciate how willing to work with us y'all were. I've been to Gatlinburg with it youth group? Many times and parking is a issue for sure. Glad they got it worked out. Things just happen and that was a good time to show the young ones that life happens and how to handle bumps in the road. You guys did good and you all represented the church well.
I'm guessing if I see my vehicle being towed, NOT KNOWING I had parked on a private lot (for whatever reason) I would be running also. Don't see how my running to catch the tow vehicle implies I knew I parked in the wrong area. What this lady seen was her vehicle being towed with 15 kids worth of "stuff" rolling out the lot. Just my view I suppose.
Glad to see people knowing they were in the wrong and took responsibility for there choice. Kendra your doing a fine job and congratulations on your baby
Did that woman from the church just say, "I've got axiety medicine you can take." Im sorry mam, but thats VERY ILLEGAL to share prescription drugs!! I cant believe she said that in front of everyone and on camera!! 😮 She needs to set a better example for those young people!! Wow.
What an unusual situation. Having a car in your grandmother's name, and she just died without legal transference of the vehicle to the mother or this grandson (from VA, no less) and TN law is quite definitive of how impounded vehicles have to be release to person named on vehicle registration... Mercy. This was one for the books.
Tough resolution on those with the church. The church owned van should get a notarized letter with all authorized operators, that would help in the event of accident…or tow. When my Mom passed away, she left me her “vehicle” since I had bought her previous vehicle for her. Since it wasn’t specifically mentioned in the will (by VIN) I had to get my siblings to sign affidavits agreeing to it, they did. Until I had the title AND insurance in my name it sat in her driveway. Also fortunate in TN, if there’s no lien on a vehicle you can get title in about a week, pre-pandemic anyway. Just fun fact, when I lived in Ohio and purchased a lien free truck, they printed the title while I waited. As always, great, informative and entertaining video!
Dude... when your own blood family leave's you cars you can drive... then immediately transfer title/registration/insurance or sell them. You know, big boy stuff. We can see what he's plainly trying to do is leave it in grandmas name until tag time, then do it. Depending on when she died it can save him up to 11months of registration. Guy admitted on the vid she died 6 months ago. Plainly defrauding the system, and I get it...but in this case you got it.
If only it were so easy to accomplish. They had already handled the lien and the insurance but were hung up on the state portion of the equation. Proper advanced estate planning makes the business of death go a lot smoother but there can still be hiccups and red tape to get hung up on anyway. (We played fun games when my mom died within six weeks of my aunt. I carried both of their death certificates in my purse for most of a year because of the complications.)
@@karenfranceslewis1513 well then he should not have used that vehicle, he should have used his normal car in his name instead of this sketchy situation on a road trip, all the way around bad adulting. sending a church van with a bunch of kids and no adults having any id's on them directly affiliating them to the vehicle super sketchy. so started out with 2 strikes for being adults.

My hat is off to you guys. The confrontations you guys go thru on these illegal parking tows has got to be so difficult. I'm not sure I could do it. You guys are so patient with these people.
When you, as the driver, know that you are running late for a convention event and you have a fully packed van of passengers and you can't find a parking space at your hotel, the smart thing to do is to let your passengers all out at the convention and, you, as the one responsible for the vehicle, stay with the vehicle until you find a proper place to park. That would include driving back to the hotel, telling them you can't find a space to park, and getting directions from the hotel of where you can park. Don't assume anything, especially where there are signs telling you not to park there. It is better that just the driver be late to the event than all the passengers. It is much better to park where you are allowed to park rather than have your vehicle picked up by a tow truck.
Hi Jeff and Kristen. Wow that was a tough one with the church youth group. Hope they work out who the registered owner of the van is. Love the video and always enjoy your channel 😎
Jeff, it's funny when you post certain videos how the internet/RUclips online lawyer's come out of the wood work and tell you what you should have done. 🤣 If people would only READ SIGNS and PAY TO PARK. LOL. Great job sir. Keep on towing 👍👍🪝🪝
The church van, they should have had some kind of paperwork that shows they are in charge of the van, and given permission to use it. Our church had a van and that’s what they had to have to use it, if I recall correctly. It has to do with insurance too, so if you get pulled over the cops can verify that you are allowed to be driving it and didn’t steal it or something.

32:16 - if the car is "registered" to a deceased person, then it's no longer legally registered. And it seems that the insurance (if there is any) was still in her name since it was "the lien" that was transferred...
As far as the van situation maybe have a written note and contact information for the head of the church or organization in case something like this should happen and congratulations on expecting Kendra. And to the future grandparents as well
Great video. Shows how important having right documents are. I know in Oklahoma when my parents both past without anything in writing that until you payed all lawyers fees they didn’t finalize court papers and nothing could change on papers. Our lawyer told us he had a settlement that had been waiting for over 5 years paid so nothing could change that was after the court hearings. Thanks for the video
Weird that everyone who parks illegally seem to not understand the notion that a sign that says "private property no parking" "employee parking only" means EXACTLY that. You just cannot leave your vehicles where ever you decide to leave them without regard to who owns the property. Everyone has a sob story.
My lawyer informed me that a Power Of Attorney dies when the person dies. They become useless after the death. Best thing to do is put multiple names on vehicles of your elder parents. Also make sure it says OR and not AND. If it says AND, it takes both to do anything with it. Great job you two.
In my state you can put someone as the beneficiary on the title so it will "automatically" transfer. Though in this case, since there was a loan, I'm not sure how exactly that would work.
You guys were very flexible in this instance but Church youth group should also be showing the younger members about the importance of making responsible choices.
As someone who has worked on staff at multiple churches I can tell you that youth pastors are some of the most irresponsible people I have ever met in my life.
I thought they did very well. They made a mistake and owned up to it, and didn't try to get out of it. That is a good lesson in learning how to handle things without acting like a toddler... like most illegal parkers do.
FYI, Most Churches do not have an owner. You will have the Pastor and officers of the Church, ie. Secretary, Treasurer, Chairman of the Stewardship Committee, Church Clerk, and Deacons. In situations like this, the Church should have sent a notarized letter from an Officer of the Church giving them permission to handle things on behalf of the church during that trip. I’m a former Church Clerk, Member of the Church Council, and former Chairman of the Stewardship Committee. Kristin, West Tennessee
Jeff, the rental properties you do wrench outs at should have your card hanging up somewhere because you almost always going to pull out so many renters that come to vacation in those areas
I have to say, that kid's family is probably dealing with probate. When my grandfather died, he had a will but my mom couldnt find the certified copy or the attorney since it had been many years, so she had to go through probate. It took over 2 years to finish the probate! He only had a house & a car as far as "property" in his name & it was an excessive length of time for it to be over.
Jeff just a FYI Chevy Express vans do come with AWD. I worked for a company here in Northern Michigan that would order the vans with AWD to get around in the winter.
My father passed away in May of 2022 and he left his truck to me in the will. There was no probate or power of attorney as all my siblings were in agreement. In RI when I went with the title that was signed over to me and the will they said I would need a probate paperwork that we didn’t have. They said they don’t accept the stamped will as proof of ownership, the back of the title had a bill of sale on it and was signed over to me so I had that and the death certificate that still wasn’t enough. I had to have my 5 siblings all file a form of no contest and have it notarized and then they all had to write a second letter saying they allowed me to have it before I was able to register that truck. Ultimately it took me almost a year to get everything done with all the back and forth with DMV and trying to get family members from literately all across the country to get me the right documents mailed to me because they wouldn’t accept emailed or faxed copies
Dodgy car registration, the probate lawyer should have been able to help with this. At lest when my Mom inherited her Mom’s car, the lawyer was a big help

I bet when his grandma passed, he didn't have her signature on the title yet. Some states are really difficult. When it comes to buying a car, without a signature on title, alot states make you jump through legal hoops til you give up. What he needed to take (with everything else) is her ID, a notarized death certificate & a receipt he had legally purchased & paid for the car from her estate.. It's ridiculous.
It is not that hard to do in VA. I just did same thing had to jump through some hoops but got it done in 2 weeks. It is a pain but should have been done.
That was me lol. We had been trying for MONTHS to get everything transferred over. Bridgecrest was dragging their feet throughout the entire process. Finally got it resolved a couple months ago
They should be able to change with a copy of her death certificate, certified copy and copy of any estate papers just takes time at DMV or what ever they call it. Just be giving the car with the DMV , selling it even for 1 dollar makes it more complicated. (DMV lady gave us the info on that whispered so we just took back that paper very quietly)
anyone driving a vehicle that is not in their own name, especially if they're going out of town, needs to have a notarized letter of permission to have that vehicle. Wrecks happen. The police have no way of knowing whether the driver is telling the truth or not. The church should have a statement in the vehicle giving the name of the person with their vehicle, permission for them to have it and who to call in the event of an emergency. Make it EASY for the law enforcement people - and for their people who are taking children - many under age! - across state lines. People are just thoughtless...and we are far to much a nation of lawsuits for any one to go unprotected by their congregation. And if grandmother died 2 years ago, how is the registration up to date? Why/how are they 2 years after the fact not legal? How are they keeping the license in-date? Pogo said it correctly: I have met the enemy, he is us. Well done Jeff and Kristin. Thank you for being kind - as always - with the youth group leaders. But thank you too, for holding them accountable.
Jeff, the daughter of the lady that had owned the car should possibly have a death notice card, like the ones that are printed when there is a funeral. Sending a picture of that with the deceased grandma's name could have helped. If there was no will and no power of attorney, Virginia DMV can be an utter nightmare to get a vehicle transferred over. The Van on the other hand has to be registered in the Church's name for the tax exception. However, I do think the Pastor of the church can also have his or her name on it. I felt so sorry for those people. I know they should have been more observant with the signs, but I still felt sorry for them.

When it comes to buying a car, without a signature on title, alot states make you jump through legal hoops til you give up. What he needed to take (with everything else) is her ID, a notarized death certificate & a receipt he had legally purchased & paid for the car from her estate.. It's ridiculous.
The churches insurance company will have a list of approved drivers under the churches policy. I had keys made for our churches van doing that way.
I don't see how they gotten away with that this long
It is not that hard to do in VA.
They do make those chevy vans in awd but they are very rare.
Hopefully they learned this lesson and will see that the proper paperwork will be keep in the van.

The church isn’t that exception!

Its a Church, sometimes you need to be charitable!!

@scw1167 NO PARKING SAID THE SIGN ..🚫🚫
Thy shalt not park illegally
Jeff, the daughter of the lady that had owned the car should possibly have a death notice card, like the ones that are printed when there is a funeral. Sending a picture of that with the deceased grandma's name could have helped. If there was no will and no power of attorney, Virginia DMV can be an utter nightmare to get a vehicle transferred over. The Van on the other hand has to be registered in the Church's name for the tax exception. However, I do think the Pastor of the church can also have his or her name on it. I felt so sorry for those people. I know they should have been more observant with the signs, but I still felt sorry for them.
Why didn't they never have a tow truck driver in The Village People?
Another rough country lift on a broken truck..surprise 😆 🤣
I would actually like to meet you guys in person
Just park behind 5 guys! 🤣
I live in Oregon
