the bass is a synth bass sound from the yamaha DX7, it's one of the most used preset on that synthesiser that was everywhere in the 80s ^^ I know because i was obsessed by that sound of that bass that i was hearing on the chris de burgh's album Man on the line and wanted to know what it was so i searched extensively and turns out if was really popular
if you love that sound check out songs like Kenny Loggins Danger Zone from Top Gun or Another Part Of Me by Micheal Jackson or People are People by Depeche Mode and as i was saying Chris De burgh songs from Man on the line like High on Emotion
^^
I hear the bass part as being done solely by a synthesizer.
Dx7 Rom 1 factory preset 15 Bass 1
Synth bass
@@malcolmhodgson7540 exactly right with a nice chunk of studio chorus
those isolated vocals are heaven
11:54 = heaven for me :)
Bass is a heavely chorused DX7 patch :-)
Yeah like everyone else said, that’s a DX7. One of the preset sounds, easily recognizable as a DX7 too.
Aha!
CORRECTION: DX6
Keyboard Synth's DRIVE this song
The guitar was an Ibanez
Ludwigs = The best drum = mine are Vistalite Blue Babies
Bass sounds like a tipical Yamaha DX7 preset. Too much "punchy" for a natural bass. Take a look at the keyboards: Left: Roland Juno 60 and Roland JX-8P. Right: I think it's a Yamaha KX88 controller and a Yamaha DX7.
Bass is obviously a Synth-Bass and that's....OK
