this is a different take of that song. Copeland says he went through the original master tapes and there are a lot of different takes of those songs which are totally surprising
Now I wish you could strip all that chorus off the guitar and remix the entire song with a louder vocal track. I would like the song a lot more that way. Hearing Sting's solo vocal track is more stunning than I expected. It should be way more up front in actual song... and the guitar with less FX. I may try going my own mix of it using Audacity. Mostly I would just love a version with that vocal track more dominant. Thanks for the insights... or rather the inhears!
Blasphemy. This is a classic #1 Hit. Nothing wrong with the original Mix. Summers recorded his guitars wet, so zero chance of removing the Flanger anyway.
I don't know why I never noticed this was a fretless bass until hearing an isolated track..
'A year has passed since I broke my nose..' is what Sting really said.
I thought I was the only one
I've been a babe in the woods for so long ...
He didn't broke his nose.
He sung in 1986 a year has passed since I had my new nose
Awesome-thanks for posting!! Would love to hear the Walking On The Moon bass isolated!
Absolutely great! Any chance you could also do King of Pain, Roxanne and/or Spirits in the Material World?
id love to see that as well
Anoza great song
Fkn time machine, I feel 17
Hmmm, no "sending out an SO blue"....
Ohohoh! I thought I was the only one.
Right
Nigel Gray Approach to engineering is not original, but for this particular band, it really works. Let’s not forget that it was mixed by the police.
Beautiful
Thanks.
Not a super-complicated or intricate set. Ideal for beginners.
Seems everything original except for the bass part: in the original Sting misses one note at around 0:35 sec.

What amp and cabinet andy Summer records message in a bottle in studio? Marshalll celestion 4x12?
Roland Jazz Chorus? For the Chorus effect
@@JulioBergo83 no
intonation is not the strong side of the milkman's son
don't forget these guys were working fast. And Sting was often too lazy to do another take.
Fretless bass ?
prob the one from the dododo dadada vid
Bass looks like
Sting came up with all this...Andy can't take credit :/.
Andy modified the guitar chords. Pretty iconic what he did with Stings' basic chords.
Where can i download this i have looked everywhere?

It's actually a few different parts playing in harmony, so some of the chorus is natural.
just re-record your own guitar part
@@radiozelaza -- Not a bad idea!!
Actually it's Flanger

Was Sting trying to sound black?
how do you sound black? Black is a color.
The island he was lost on was near Jamaica. He learned his accent from the coconut trees.
Sting is always out of tune.
