  • I am going to teach you the easiest way to edge a lawn with a string trimmer. In my opinion, flipping the weed eater upside down with one quick motion is the best way to edge a flower bed or tree ring. A stick edger is also a good option for edging a sidewalk or driveway but it does not work as good on flower beds or tree rings. Make sure to wear PPE when edging. It takes a little practice and a steady hand. Lawn edging also become easier over time as the edge becomes more established.

Your friend paul from delta bc canada 🇨🇦…. I started in 1989 … by 93 I was swamped , with a helper ..and soon figured how to master trimming like you .. guard off for sure …. You need more line to finesse all trimming … you cover all the bases 👍🏻…. I got too big , like a lot of companies , these days I keep it simple and run a truck myself again and kept the cream customers , and I make a decent living

Thank you for the tips! I'm using a battery trimmer, and it's heavy! I have trouble with trimming between grass and brick edging.

Nice video Jason. Excited for the upcoming season. I personally use a Echo SRM-225. They recently went up in price, also. They used to be 200-25. Now they are 250. Yikes

Good video. I prefer holding it the way you do as well. The other way resting on the shoulder may take some of the weight of your arms for people that aren't very strong or if you had a lot of edging to do with your trimmer. You're right too about versatility in walking backwards vs forwards and which side of the edge to stand

Can you explain how to advance the string line? How hard to smack the head on the ground? Do you do it at low speed or high? Does it mater? My line seems to break easy and I'm always advancing line or having to refill the line... I'm a noob.

Have you tried the Darwins Grip? Thoughts on it?

Yes I have tried it. I think it's great, especially for taller people. I do a lot of edging with my trimmer so it's a little bit awkward to edge with it
