Man, I wish we had these building codes in the US. The 4” exterior walls alone would be enough to shut a job down. Good job!

My grandfather was a builder... He would just have a huge pile of hardwood delivered and build the frames by hand. He build about 200 homes in a whats now quiet large country town in NSW.

    G,day from Sydney.
Thank you for demonstrating your skills doing your job. The pre-cut frame, space allocated and construction site seemed limited.
Standing of the walls and roof frame was, professional: while managing carpenters and deliveries all at the same time.
    Learning outcomes from this video-
    1. Accurate frame numbers on concrete slab (cannot be removed by rain).
    2. Position and stacking of frames and trusses (near final location).
    3. Air hoses, ladders and leads, not causing hazardous manual handling problems.
    4. Clear communication for special cutting such as noggins, trimmers and bracing.
Theoretical knowledge of square, straight, parallel and plumb are all qualities of being a framing carpenter.

Really good video. Can see your channel has lots of similar looking ones, probably going to binge them all.
I'm thinking of starting a 10 week carpentry pre-apprenticeship course because I'm really interested in construction, and trades in general really.
Wondering if you have any advice as an experienced carpenter? Maybe you could make a video out of it lol.

When you add a dwang into a wall, you create a thermal bridge that lets more heat escape. You get no significant improvement to the structural performance of the wall. The acoustics are worse.

That’s a load of shit we could build the frames and the trusses faster and cleaner then the factory but you make money way faster doing pre fab frames 6-7k per single frame depending on sqm and any decent crew can throw one up a day a good crew can do 2 it’s all about the money 💰
