Nice intro moves. 👍Throwing crab pots to let them soak while catching Yellowtail Rockfish. What a day.

Great video. Thanks for posting it!
Those Yellowtail Rockfish or Brown Bombers as some charters like to call them are great eating.
Tip for gill cutting, carry some heavy-duty scissors like you'd find in a kitchen, makes cutting gills a snap!

Fish ID needs some tuning. Great day on the water though!

Another awesome video! Thanks for all the great content. What is the Herring head with the diver bill? Learning a lot from your videos. Thank you

You kept a foul hooked king? Wow.

Don't recall keeping anything that was "foul hooked", but... foul hooked fish are legal to keep in the salt water whether Westport, or Puget Sound. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it.

@@Northwestfishingfanatics In the video you say it was hooked in the back... The king that was twirling.

@@Northwestfishingfanatics And, yes, it's legal in WA salt... but some don't look at it as ethical.

Oh yeah that's the one that one hook in the bottom jaw and the second one in the back. Totally fine and happens all the time. The reason it is legal and the anti snagging rule does not apply in the salt is because it not possible to try to snag a fish while downrigging. Therefore ethics doesn't play a role in a foul hooked salt water fish. Thanks for you input.

Also, one last thing. Bottom fish particularly Ling Cod get foul hooked all the time much like salmon.
