Cause even when he confessed to her, he basically did not think it in romantic way, like he didn't think about "sleep" or "kiss" with her. He just mixed up his feeling not to be abandon by his family and romance. His romance revelation also not purely his idea, but feed by his friend. I think he's kinda late in romance department cause he has mother complex not yet resolve 🙄.
