Kudos to LX, who at the time already is aware of his feelings for JJ and more knowledgeable about relationships, still understood that JJ needs to grow up. In a way, this already is a clue that JJ, deep down, does not view LX as a brother. But it’s still funny watching him choke🤣🤣

@@nehabind7233 Hopefully I won’t botch the explanation, it’s a bit hard putting the scene into words, but I’ll try. JJ mentioning liking LX’s scent is complex. Normally, you’ll just sniff once and just say “you smell nice”. However, JJ sniffed repeatedly and blurted out “amazing”. To her, LX’s scent is like a perfume. It could be argued that JJ is amazed that LX’s scent is all over his blanket, but that logic is too low IQ since whose scent would be all over LX’s bed if not LX himself? So, no, JJ is not dumb, only innocent.
As for LX, he could have just replied “Dumb, that’s my bed, of course it smells like me.” Of the three he is the most aware of girl-boy relationships, e.g., he’s been receiving love letters and he has clocked on Ming Yue’s crush on Ziqiu. At this time he already would have figured out that he does not see JJ as a sister. If it were any other girl telling him that his scent is “amazing”, he would have figured out the girl has a crush on him. But it’s JJ, his own crush and someone he protects, and with this scene, protects even from himself.
One, it would have made him happy that his crush likes how he smell, but then again, it’s JJ, one he would put into a bubble wrap if he could. Second, it would make things harder if JJ would be aware of romantic dynamics. Third, they’re still young (JJ is just 16, LX is 18) and LX is nothing but responsible. He is the one who always keeps the two in line. Thus, LX choking is more like wanting to put JJ in a bubble wrap at the same time getting rid of temptation immediately, his temptation (teenage hormones be damned hahahahaha). Now he has a problem because JJ’s scent would be on his blanket when he sleeps pwahahah.

Go ahead is my favorite Cdrama...it has every emotion....it can make you cry or make you laugh...it can make you jealous ...it can make you smile...the story line and the actors are just perfect. Plus the music effect are like cherry on the cake.... I will always recommend this drama .
