I learned this for my then girlfriend, she was actually planning on breaking up with me when I showed her it. Let’s just say I would play this in bed with tears.

Waw ! Gave me the impression of being at wembley stadium at the beginning that I thought I heard Freddie say "This is the point where the guitarist comes to speak " !!! The album double CASSETTE was being played over and over again during the five first years of the 90's . It had seen me grow up from 13 to 17 years old in 95 !!
One of the most beautiful versions of one of my favourite Freddy songs...As I also play a 12 string, (my Martin 12 stolen, difficult to 'feel' play another 12 string properly), but will def make an attempt at this. If anything can make me try to 'feel' any other 12string, this inspiring video will. Thank you. Ps...not afraid to say that I genuinely heard echos of Freddy whilst you played:) He is my most beloved artist, and even now it's hard to accept he is gone...but perhaps that's because he is in a way, via a different plane or in spirit, with those who love him, still. I'm not religious, even referred to as borderline atheist, but closer to agnostic for lack of a formal label. However I am deeply spiritual in my own way, with mother nature and karma as my higher powers...and music being the original language of animals, birds, the winds, sea waves, storms, humming of bee's..very few humans have been able to capture the essence of such, but if any human had a voice that would be able to join with nature's music, it would be Freddy, and Brian right next to him...Brian May, doctor of astrophysics, protector of Hedgehogs, lover of nature..a better team mother nature never had, and one has to believe in a form of afterlife, if only to be able to hear the amazing chorus and music that they, and all of natures sounds, together in an orchestra only able to exist in the universe beyond any other humans or interference. I always thought that everyone should be able to have their own version of heaven/after life no matter what faith or belief...who gets to decide or demand the rules as to which faith/religion or belief is the only Right one? I am happy to live as best as I can, and whilst still able, to right any of my wrongs, heal any hurts I've caused, and do all in my own power to make sure the space I've taken in this life isn't wasted, yet whilst I hope not to leave any scars, perhaps I may still leave something rather good. Warmest karma hugs and best regards, ladybudd:)XXX
Great work with your right hand! So tough to finger pick a twelve articulately. I cut a new nut and reversed the position of my primary (now top) and octave strings (now bottom) on one of my Guild 12’s to accommodate finger style - what a great difference it made! I’d suggest it for anyone playing finger style on a 12
é pq normalmente os covers são feitos em um violão de 6 cordas e está (igual a do Brian) é de 12 cordas, então irá a sonoridade vai ser diferente, os que usa a de 6 cordas tentam imitar, mas é tecnicamente impossível
Different type of guitar. Brian uses a regular acoustic 12 string with bronze strings. Here is a 12 string with nylon strings, so brians tone is going to be very different
@austin abbott- Brian May used this exact ovation guitar model 1615 for Love Of My Life and ‘39 in concert, i believe since 1977. He used it up until his first solo tour supporting his Back To The Light album. Not sure if be used it on his second solo tour in 1998 tho i did see him using this same guitar in the A Night At The Opera classic albums DVD performing ‘39 and Love Of My Life. Also this guy here isn’t using nylon strings as it’s an acoustic with steel strings, nylon strings don’t sound like this plus he has the treble a bit high i think. He’s definitely using the same make and model of guitar that Brian used tho that’s for sure.
it's like the same but different well im pretty darn good at being wrong. i just thought it was nylon because of the tuners. I just havent seen a steel string guitar with those style tuners. Anyway thanks for the info
Austin Abbott - lol dude we are all pretty good at being wrong. I see what you mean about the tuners and you’re right, those tuners are most commonly used in classical guitars. Some models of the Ovation guitars have these types of tunings, i don’t know why really, that’s just the ovation way i suppose.
I can’t stop listening to this. I have been a Queen fan since the beginning and I have heard this song A LOT, including other versions, and I must say, this is the best cover I have ever heard. Great Job!
Anyone that can play this song and think it’s a moderate difficulty... try it on a 12 lol sounds amazing but have to be accurate and it’s painful on fingers but without the right level of pressure you get notes muting which spoils a segment... very hard and Brian makes it looks so easy! Well done mate, top job!
Can i use your guitar cover for me to sing it? Of course i will give you the credits. I really wanted to do a cover vídeo of this version but its too hard for me to play like this. Can i use your áudio? GOOD JOB!!!!
Beautiful cover!! I love how you played with same model used by Brian May. Did you know that Brian May customized that guitar? On the E ,A, D &, G strings he places the thick string first then their octaves to be able to pluck the thick strings easier.
This is exactly like the one at the concert ...
Brian also played it on a 12 string guitar t
It is the exact same guitar he used
@@pelematthews7416 It is the same model*, not the actual guitar he used
@gw Nikris ketemu lg anjm
He used it in wembley and rock momtreal

bruh
im sorry bro.
I hope you find someone bro
I mean if you can play something as beautiful as that then she’s missing out
I feel you man
The fact that you are using the same 12 string as Brian did makes this even better
By far the best cover I have come across! The 12-string adds so much depth. You are an amazing player. Thank you.
Check this cover .Although it's not a guitar cover of the song ,it's worth the look :

Absolutely wonderful...
Sounds so relaxing to listen
This cover is astonishingly good.
Outstanding.
WHY would anyone dislike it??
The 49 people who gave this a thumbs down are just jealous.
That Ovation sings like a bird! Absolutely outstanding!
Beautifully played
Excellent, I can't understand why anyone would dislike this
This song, and Wish you were here are the ones impulsing me to buy my first 12 strings guitar... Thanks for this masterpiece
How about Give A Little Bit from Supertramp?
@@kingrobert1st Yeah, good idea... Why not?
@@Mravilet18 I'm still struggling with Even In The Quitest Moments but it has to be the greatest 12 string song ever writen imo.
I really don't wanna tune that guitar
