I wanna say that for me this was probably the most engaging episode yet. Boris has endless energy and I love the fact that he's out there with a simple approach to his gear, especially when he casually stated that he only has one lens. Great work, Paulie.
It’s always enjoyable to see and hear other photographers talk about their craft and how they see the world. Boris made a great point about being knowledgeable of events before making it a thing in your portfolio. Great video Paulie.
Something about this guy and this video is making me homesick.....I miss the city and street! Boris reminds me of the kids I grew up with many years ago.... his images are timeless.
Boris really knew his stuff. Also really appreciate taking the time for some street photography that doesn't include people. Smart dude, great episode, I wish Boris all the best.
For anyone wondering why Gary Winogrand is smiling left of frame in the photo attributed to him at 2:36, that's actually Tod Papageorge's photo, shot probably seconds before or after Windogrand's famous photo of the same scene.
I found Boris on Instagram a few months ago and I was really looking forward to him being on your show. His work really resonates with me and especially as a fellow monochrome shooter I really fehlt his points about shooting black and white. I would love to get a book of Boris work in the near future. He's probably in my top 10 of contemporary photographers.
Amazing sensibility, consistent work, great framing skills, an eye for the special and unusual. All that`s needed for great black & white photography. The landscape photography is also impressive. So happy I watched this episode. Thank you Boris and Paulie.
Just discovered your channel and interview series. I have always been a lifelong fan & viewer of street photography, but not very much of contemporary ones. Thanks for shedding light on these great photographers and love love love your interview & video structure, watching them work, + including some of the snaps they got DURING your walk is just A+. The images just enhance the experience so much more, and works so well also when you show some or their past work it give that feeling of knowing someone’s work while talking to them, and you have that picture in your head while you both discuss it. Just so good, so immersive. Love!
Loved the sound of the Leica M4-P click. Calm. Casual. Smooth. A good way to live. I try to be invisible. Putting down your camera = dies? Make work until you put down your came. Love that 28mm lens is your favorite so you don’t have another lens. Maybe the lack of a 2nd lens is related to the price of Leica lenses. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
This really was amazing. Definitely one of my favourites thus far. Boris and his work feels so authentic, connected, human. I am completely inspired to get out there even more with my camera.
Im on a world tour for my job driving coast to coast over and over and I found this channel. Holy shit, Im loving it. Time to BINGE!! Thank you, my man!!!
Boris coming with the heat! Some amazing photography displayed in this one. The fact he develops his own work makes it all the sweeter. Great work as always, Paulie ✌🏼
Wow. Very cool episode. I love how Boris spends time in those "low foot traffic" areas. I often fall into tue trap of feeling like I have to be in the usual, densely populated parts of NY to shot but this reminded me to step off the beaten path now and again.
Very impressive instincts Boris. You're definitely one of the more gifted photographers I've noticed on this channel. Very strong and matter of fact..Very well spoken too...👍
There's always something to photograph. Just when you think there's nothing else to shoot, the world changes and new opportunities spring up! Thanks, Paulie! Good one!
One of the best episodes yet. Boris is an interesting guy and amazing talent. Didn’t hear Paulie ask about film choices, lens or scanning but Boris gets such deep blacks and sharp images, I would have liked to hear more about the technical side of his images.
Loved this Paulie, Boris made some great comments and his photos were really on the money!👍🙏Thanks Paulie for all the hard work you do bringing these vids to all of us!👍🇦🇺🇬🇧😎Max.
Nice guy! One of the chillest dudes I have ever seen on the channel. Also: there need to be an app for public toilets! That is what we street photographers need!
Another great episode! I just thought it's worth mentioning that this photo at 2:36 is actually a shot by Ted Papageorge (according to his documentary movie) who happened to be at the scene with Garry Winogrand. Just noticed it as I saw Garry in the left corner of the picture. Garry took a similar shot but without him being in it :)
i like him, i like his anger at the world that we share (the free palestine images genuinely nearly made me tear up", i like him pushing for people going to libraries, i like that he researches what he photographs so as to not make something serious merely pretty, i like story of getting on the roof, and i like his energy. great photographer
Such a brilliant Walkie Talkie I'm loving Boris's photography and thought process. I'm visiting New York from Ireland next week, my first time in USA so I'm so exciting to see what four days in New York will gift me. I will upload some POV and image's on my channel from my visit I haven't uploaded in a while but I just wanted to say your channel is like a breath of fresh air for me Paulie B and thank you for creating it and sharing the content ♥️Sean
I am making this call in a completely personal, and subjectively biased way. This is the best walkie talkie I have watched, and ive watched them all. take from it what you will. Showing the emotion of what most of us are wanting to gain through this practise, I thank you for your moments of vunerability Boris
There won't be any people in a 100 years, let alone 1000 years, to be honest the way the world is currently going I'll be surprised if we see 10 years! Great film.
I love and appreciate the library suggestion! I have a card I never use and need an excuse to get more... and I'm broke. Win, win! Thanks for the tip Boris XD XD
Great video!! So many beautiful images! One question I have is how is Boris able to get such sharp images when he is moving, shooting one handed or even the subject is moving? Is it a combination of high iso film, fast shutter speed, low fstop and alot of practice with zone focusing, also good light? Maybe the lense been wide angle & maybe been a leaf shutter would help also?
I'm enjoying your videos. Just a note -- not sure if another commenter has mentioned it -- but the photo of the couple holding the monkeys at 2:36 is actually taken by Papageorge. Garry Winogrand is the guy holding the camera on the far left. Winogrand took a photo of that couple with the monkeys that's quite famous. I think I remember reading an interview with Papageorge where he said (with humour, not anger) that Winogrand pushed him out of the way to get the photo.
One of our future greats. He knows that photography can be a language. A very strong one.
I wanna say that for me this was probably the most engaging episode yet. Boris has endless energy and I love the fact that he's out there with a simple approach to his gear, especially when he casually stated that he only has one lens. Great work, Paulie.
What a gentle dude with nothing but genuinity and love for photography
genuineness
It’s always enjoyable to see and hear other photographers talk about their craft and how they see the world. Boris made a great point about being knowledgeable of events before making it a thing in your portfolio. Great video Paulie.
Absolutely love that shot of the couple through the bicycle
One of the best. Humble, articulate and hugely talented.
All the love for boris. Your family is proud of you. The ones here and the ones not .
Also, hair is looking great ❤
Keep doing it cuz.

While in some places the world is going crazy, this channel always show how beautiful it can be.
Thanks for sharing.
Aye! Another M4-P shooter. Great video, enjoyed his photos especially the one at 13:11! Wow.
That looking through "Lot logic" is so true. "One day it won't be a lot"
Amazing sensibility, consistent work, great framing skills, an eye for the special and unusual. All that`s needed for great black & white photography. The landscape photography is also impressive. So happy I watched this episode. Thank you Boris and Paulie.

Boris is one of my favorites! The works is so incredible and he does a great job with positioning himself within a space.
Favorite youtube channel right now for sure
By far my favorite episode
Really good compositions in the shots shown.
A really refreshing point of view around B&W vs colour!
Loved the sound of the Leica M4-P click.
Calm. Casual. Smooth. A good way to live. I try to be invisible.

Best photog on here yet
This guy has some of the best pics of any of the photographers so far in this series. Some great work.
Best Walkie Talkie i've watched yet
This really was amazing. Definitely one of my favourites thus far. Boris and his work feels so authentic, connected, human. I am completely inspired to get out there even more with my camera.
I really enjoy the skate photography of boris. Also on the website.

Love this man’s philosophy around his work it’s really cool
The BEST video I have seen on your channel because of the mind of the photographer, and the works displayed during the vid!
Boris coming with the heat! Some amazing photography displayed in this one. The fact he develops his own work makes it all the sweeter. Great work as always, Paulie ✌🏼
Ps 24:16 is a dope composition. Love the shutter sound/no music. Chefs kiss 👌🏼.
Wow. Very cool episode. I love how Boris spends time in those "low foot traffic" areas. I often fall into tue trap of feeling like I have to be in the usual, densely populated parts of NY to shot but this reminded me to step off the beaten path now and again.
incredible insight and humanity with this one...shoutout to Boris man great body of work but most importantly just a great human first
Very impressive instincts Boris. You're definitely one of the more gifted photographers I've noticed on this channel. Very strong and matter of fact..Very well spoken too...👍
There's always something to photograph. Just when you think there's nothing else to shoot, the world changes and new opportunities spring up! Thanks, Paulie! Good one!
Amazing content, and it just shows that Boris thinks outside the box. He actually documents not just snapping away. I like his one lens approach too.
Great episode! I really like his work and his modesty.
One of the best episodes yet. Boris is an interesting guy and amazing talent. Didn’t hear Paulie ask about film choices, lens or scanning but Boris gets such deep blacks and sharp images, I would have liked to hear more about the technical side of his images.
You can see he shoots HP5+ around 22:20 in the video. Black canister, clearly HP5+ roll and he mentions marking it as 400 or 800 with a sharpie.
Loved this Paulie, Boris made some great comments and his photos were really on the money!👍🙏Thanks Paulie for all the hard work you do bringing these vids to all of us!👍🇦🇺🇬🇧😎Max.
Boris’ work has so much warmth and curiosity, it’s inspiring to see. Looking forward to seeing where his work leads him!
Nothing but love for this series and everyone involved ❤
Great eye and work Boris
Brilliant work, Boris! It's fascinating to see someone your age with such a distinctive voice. Thanks for the great video, Paulie!
Nice guy! One of the chillest dudes I have ever seen on the channel. Also: there need to be an app for public toilets! That is what we street photographers need!
