- So you’ve finished ULTRAKILL for the 15th time, played every game in Funkes' movement shooter series, yet you still feel empty inside.
Well that’s probably a larger issue BUT to help with the lack of games thing;
I’ve spent the last MONTH sifting through steams extensive library to find 3 movement games, 3 GOOD movement games that you can confidently get excited for.
I’ll be covering my favourite features, where they’re at in development, the release dates, as well as things I’d like to see added.

some games i would reccomend (not fps) are Pumpkin Jack, Rollerdrome, Overgrowth and Biomutant
Also other underrated movement shooters are Deadlink and Anger Foot

@@menaced. I think it comes down to getting used to it, I used to have a big issue with locomotion movement in VR until I used it more. It might take a bit but you'll likely get better with it over time!

Played this game after seeing this video and honestly amazing work, despite being a short demo its still one of my favourite fast paced movement games, can’t wait for the full release:) just a thought but while i was playing I thought it would be interesting to have a consistent way of going into slow mo? I don’t know how hard it would be to properly add to such a fast paced game but seeing a perfectly executed combo in slow motion is great
The Style Meter is something that NEEDS to exist MORE in games!
Not only does it incentives doing cool things but it also goes into the main purpose of a game (oh wait what is tha-) *FUN!!*
Of course not EVERY game should have one (Don't know how Civilization would work with it) but shooters especially are missing out.

It would be interesting to play a movement game where the starting sequence is you constructing your character and it’s abilities, and you see machines putting it all together and throwing you into a rusty testing arena.
Clone drone in the danger zone is close to this, don’t know if it has much emphasis on move,ent, I think it does?
As someone who speedruns the shady knight demo, Its one of the most fun games I have played in a while
the “choose your floor” and “move the cubes” features of Invertigo are straight out of a game called Manifold Garden. more of a puzzle game than a movement game, but if you liked those aspects, I highly recommend it. bonus points for being an absolutely GORGEOUS game, too.

one game that i bought a few days ago is rollerdrome, which is basically tony hawk's pro shooter. it released august last year and it's really fun

As someone who really loves ultrakill and got into the game like a week ago and p ranked prelude and act 1,beat p-1 and about to p rank act 2 and beat p-2 because I really like the game,these games are really good and shady knight is my favourite! In Shady Knight, you can use the focus machanic to slow down time, then jump off a barrel, chain pull that barrel and jump of it again, OVER AND OVER. It's amazing.

If you want a game like Shady Knight where you use the environment and weapons, try Bullet Storm, it has a whole score based system with hundreds of kill combos, getting good at it is a blast. Loved this video aside from the airhorns
I have to Say that the core mechanic of the third game is heavily inspired by manifold garden, however, manifold garden is way more puzzled centered than movement
So I'm still excited
We actually started out development before the release of manifold garden, so it was a funny coincidence that the core mechanic is the same :p The puzzles and environment of Invertigo are much different though and indeed the focus on movement and speedrunning is what makes us 'stand out' in my opinion at least
It always feels good to see Shady Knight get some love. (I miss the old Hub area tho.)

Nothing could have prepared me for the look of utter shock and confusion on my face when i heard Knockout City music start playing... Like... Someone else knows this game? Honestly great video, and really good use of the music, definitely gonna check some of these games out.

I got the chance to play Valley Peaks and speak to the devs at EGX in October, and I gotta say it was very fun! The demo was very smooth and had me hooked and the time trials on some of the mountains had me playing for over 2 hours on the demo to beat my highscores
This is so on brand for a few of my friends even though I can get into these games currently- movement games just so good

i mean space.png is actually realistic as hell. You cannot see anithing by your eyes in space and even x50 zoom won't change a thing. All that cool images of space(i mean scientific, not random for some sci-fi) is basicly compilation of different images postproduced by special artist
The music sync for the first but was 👌
One movement game I think is slept on is Bunny-Hop: Eggstreme. It's a game that harkens back to the days of Source bunny hopping and feels exactly like it, despite being made in Unity. It has the typical leaderboards and 3 different difficulty options, and let me tell ya it is hard, but oh so satisfying when you get the groove.
