Quick correction for the vaults section of the video. You can have more than one of each type of vault on one character, they just cant be placed in the same space. So you cant have two in the house, but you can have one in the house and one outside it. And you can repeat that for each house you own.
the only thing we need is a way to label whats in a vault like energy jewels would be nice or defense jewels or emps or couch potatoes or just misc seeds
Also another tip specifically for newer wizards is to try and get a pet that either gives a blade, or a sharpen blade spell! They are really handy for dishing out more damage.
NOTE: Some extra info people very helpfully added in the comments! Thank you all! ❤ 1. I misspoke and said that the vaults are 1 per character. They are actually 1 per zone, meaning you can have 1 inside AND outside your house - double the storage! 2. You need to go into the options menu to enable the lock gear feature. You can find this under the 2nd "Gameplay" tab and click "Yes" for "Backpack Item Lock". I've had this option on for so long I totally forgot you need to enable it! 3. At 4:15 I mention buying gold piles from the Mirage vendor - this was meant as a joke and I do NOT actually recommend buying those piles as a way of "storing" gold like I mentioned earlier in the video. Some poor soul thought I meant that as actual advice and was very sad to see how little those gold pile housing items resell for. Do NOT do this 😭
Tapestries are your best friend. You can craft them, or if you spend some cash on gardening packs, jewel plants drop them in spades alongside castle blocks. Get some castle walls and advance move them to place tapestries wherever you want. I like placing them next to my house entrance so if I need to get someplace quickly, I click "Go Home" and interact with a tapestry. Totally recommend the Bazzaar, Pet Hatchery, and the Commons Tapestries as those are probably the most visited places.
Man, I wish this video existed a few years ago... I had to learn most of these things by trial & error, over years, through sheer force of will. Hope this video reaches more people who can benefit feom it, great job!
I like the thing where I can spin my character with shift and a side arrow key. It let's me keep progress and not time out the connection in between questing and let's me do stuff irl without needing to worry.
If you have a open character slot you can use it to get infinite energy for pet training. Steps: 1:make a new character and transfer a pet and mega snacks 2:find someone to let you teleport into pet pavilion and mark the location 3:do quests until you level up then teleport to pet pavilion 4:repeat step 3 for until leveling progress slows down, then transfer you pet and remaining mega snacks back into shared bank 5: delete the character and repeat from step 1
Wow! I’ve been playing so long that I honestly thought no top 10 video could ever teach me anything new, but you taught me more than one! I didn’t know you could lock your level, and I didn’t know you could switch between gear sets that quickly! I’ve been manually changing to my +50 energy pet, but with those tricks I can also use gear and lock it to make sure I’m not surprised by a big XP drop and lose the chance. Thank you!!
Pro tip, you get a limited amount of houses, but received houses get automatically added, so always have the best houses you can buy or craft, and you'll get 4 houses instead of 2 without the extra house potion.
3:36 empowers hold 60% of ur gold value. If u buy them at the cheapest for 3200 gold and sell them at the highest for 2000 gold What i mean by 60% gold value is how much gold you'll get back for how much u spend, if u buy 100k gold of empowers at the cheapest, u can sell em for 60k gold at the highest Idk what's the gold value item for this, but ik empowers are good
@@PearlJan9 Hmm that's a tough one, cuz I know some gear like certain amulets can sell for a ridiculous amount, but idk if anyone has done a full numbers crunch on what the best ratio is out of all the items, tc, snacks, reagents, etc. It's hard to calculate with the bazaar numbers always changing depending on inventory. I think empowers is probably your best option just for ease of use more than anything else, and the ratio on them is pretty good too.
Honestly kinda cool I know all this stuff. All very important for new players, ESPECIALLY the pre made decks. No matter how casual you’re playing having at least a mob deck and a boss deck will save so much time in the long run. Also make the mob deck so you always have your instant AOE hit in hand first round. Even some maxed players run decks that just waste so much time lol.
Treasure cards can also be transferred between characters using treasure card displays - put the display frame down in your house, add a treasure card to it, then pick the frame up. The treasure card will stay in the display frame. It can then be moved to the shared bank and will keep the treasure card in it when moved to a different character. You can get the treasure card display item recipe from Kara Runewright, the decathalon recipe vendor. (Note: the number of cards you can move at a time will be limited by how many treasure card display items you have and how much space you have in your shared bank but it's a quick way to swap cards between characters without having to use a second account)
@@anranelsaren oh I didn’t mean put your castle in the shared bank. A castle has to be empty for it to be moved. Treasure cards can be moved by putting the treasure card display housing item in the shared bank.

The house is considered an instance. When you log out of an instance regardless if it's still open you'll be sent to wherever you originally entered it
I swap a LOT between my damage and energy gear so when I finally got the gear sets figured out I was like “what have I been doing this whole time?!” I hate swapping everything one by one 😂
Have a green Energy gear set, saved at the bottom of the gear set page. When you leave at night, click on that option. When you return, your energy is fully charged again. Do your fishing and gardening, & pet training when you start for the day, to get the most energy available before you quest.
I Have noticed that frozen armor and ice armor sells for ton of gold too so save those tc to sell them for gold later if you got them during questing or so
I wish that the backpack item lock was either on by default on or not even a setting. I didn't even know about it until I watched Zenmasterblue's myth playthrough, which was years after I started
another trick i use is to mark right before the boss fight, and kill minion first , then flee and port back to my mark, fast. once i'm back i drink a potion , you'll find that its just you and the boss now and can set deck if need be. i think when you do it fast , that the game dont have time to reset the minion., you could use the port back to dungeon button , but you may have a long walk back to the boss, and the level 50 henchman for life will heal almost every round, its only 50 crowns
I saw someone clarify that for number one the house qualifies as an instance, but I don't think I saw anyone mention that this also means you can save a good bit of time by logging out of dungeons you've just completed. Also there's a few quests (I specifically remember a few in arc 1) that demand you enter a small instance dungeon that forces you into battle upon entry, but doesn't actually require you to defeat the mobs for the quests, this is also a great time to just log out of the instance and proceed with the quest. Also I'm sure some are familiar with either quickly teleporting or just doing the same trick to skip large cutscenes like malistaire's for example (in ds and darkmoor). Obviously you just have to be very sure you're done with the dungeon before doing any of these lol
On number 1 (last tip) it only works if you haven’t been afk at your house because sometimes I reload back in my house after afk spinning for a long period.
Final Fantasy XIV needs Level Locking. I was doing a prep day to get the quests turn ins for Dawntrail, only to accidentally turn in all my leves on my Level 78 Reaper instead of my Pictomancer and got Reaper to Level 79 with that wasted EXP. :(
By the way, it's heart-breaking if you accidentally delete your pet that you trained so hard on. However, kindly send a ticket to the game central / GMs and asked them nicely to see if they can give you one "Almost" like your deleted pet back with all it's talent skills / stats, but slicely different DNA. Can you lock your level as a max Wiz (150 atm) and then when the new world releases, unlock it to get all that xp? I have a level 150 that’s still questing in Lemuria.

Best I can recommend is to click on their character and hit the “Ignore” option - that way you can’t see their messages and they can’t direct message you anymore. Unfortunately, that’s usually your main option to not have to deal with mean or toxic people in the game :(
