Gold Skeleton Keys and their bosses have changed over the years with game updates, so it’s time for the ULTIMATE gold skeleton key boss guide where I’ll be covering all 12 of the current gold key bosses, where to find them, what their many cheats are, how to beat them with the best strategies, and the many different spellements, pack gear, pets, mounts, and more that each of them drop! If you’re unsure of the best ways to use your hard earned keys, then this is the guide for you. There are so many crowns only, premium gear, mounts, and pets that you can get by farming these bosses as well as access to spellements to learn some of the most useful and rare spells in the entire game. Let’s get started!

EDIT: According to viewers Takanobu *may* also drop the perm koi fish and it looks like tier 1 spirit of ignorance may also drop purple fairy wings. Unfortunately without official drop notes from the devs it can be hard to confirm everything.
You have no idea how many gold skeleton keys I needed for this video 😭the PAIN! Anyway, which of these bosses is the best to farm in your opinion? I spent last Christmas farming Krampus for literally all the Yuletide pack gear and it was AMAZING to finally get the robes of the frozen sun and staff of wintertime wand!
I didnt even realize he dropped that gear now, makes him worth farming. The robes are amazing

I also have gotten the Koi Fish mount from Takanobu! I farmed him SO much hoping to get the Catch of the Day spell to drop before they changed it to spellements... I've also farmed Spirit of Ignorance a bunch on my lvl 15 (Those max level cheats are ridiculous. At lvl 15 he has no cheats at all!), but I haven't gotten the fairy wings yet, so I can't confirm that one.
Man i love watching this entire video knowing im not good enough to do this, have noone to do it with and dont even know how to get the keys anyway. It was very informative though so very enjoyable

Hey yall a big tip for wizards farming lambent fire, you can turn the boss into a joke if you have one wizard on your team spam casting dispel fire on the boss, this will give your team time to aoe down the minions without fear of the boss hitting anyone!! Hope it helps

Takanobu also drops the ancient Koi mount i got it yesterday from him, I believe spirit of ignorance also drops purple fairy wings
Interesting! There’s no record of the koi fish on the wiki, but maybe it hasn’t been documented yet. I double checked on the purple fairy wings and for some weird reason they are only recorded on tier 1. I wish the devs shared official drops so it would be easier to confirm stuff.
@@Zaepha ikr, make monstrology actually useful and have us document boss stats and drops, hell even cheats would be awesome
@@Zaepha I don't think the purple wings are a possible drop anymore since it became a gold key boss. Me and my partner farmed there tons to get the sea turtle mount. If it still does drop it's an extremely rare drop.
Yeah, I feel like I remember them being a drop for the old non gold key version, but haven’t seen as much evidence for them being current drops 🤷♀️

You can kind of cheese general lightbane if you stack the piercing to be more than the resist and put on a bunch of buffs. Its faster but requires specific cards

For sprit of ignorance we could also use a upgraded clockwork to shift the damage overtime back to him
When I was fighting Labient Fire Tier 2, I experience a bug that when you killed the minions, when the boss cheats to resummon them, the minions won't actually respawn. Not sure if the same applies to the other tiers but something important to note when getting spellements for Deer Knight.
What blows my mind finding others to farm is what's hardest
mooshu also has the krampus boss in jade palace in the middle. (unless they updated it)
the krampus boss is my fav I want that robe for my ice 🤤 only problem is ive used up all the keys i got from darkmoor b4 the update
You can learn taunt (mega) in celestia at the beach with the platypuses

You missed some drops for Krampus. His wand is a potential drop and they have also added as of last Christmas a Krampus banner wand plus a banner to put on your wall. I must admit I'm surprised the candy cane mounts drop there, given me and my partner usually farm him heavily every Christmas/Christmas in July. Also I don't know if they have removed four bells ringing (it maybe another wand name but looks like that wand) . I got several last Christmas in July however none dropped at Christmas so maybe they switched them out and brought in the krampus banner wand.

I’m an upcoming fire wizard (currently high 70s, approaching 80 as of writing this comment.) A friend of mine helped me farm general lightbane for the hero rat spellaments. These are cute, idk if i’ll use them during my questing or boss killing aside from maybe the death and ice one. Idk which of the gear would be “meta” for me to farm from these bosses (comments help me out!!!) but Krampus is the only boss that really has my attention drops-wise.
Every school can learn taunt. The death tree has the spell. So not seeing it at the ice school makes sense why people would think it's an Ice only spell.
What is don’t like is that you don’t get rewards for helping a low lvl with the key boss it’s such an annoying change

Are there any Wiz101 servers that still have a "big" playerbase? Currently playing in Germany but when I go to the Kiosk there is no player team up for any of the worlds (till celetia, havent unlocked farther). And is there a way to transfer my account from here to that server?

winterbane drops the borr's pets.
If I am not mistaken the participation trophies are needed for crafting in the Arcanum craft quest
They have changed the recipe so you no longer need participation trophies.
Like someone else commented, they removed them as a requirement for those recipes a number of updates ago, so now the trophies are actually useless in that they aren’t used for any recipes. I really hope they allow us to craft something with them eventually so they’d at least have a purpose again.
@@Zaepha would be great if they made a housing items recipes using the trophies.

King Borr is the best boss, least time for your buck, in this case key. Some of the other bosses are unreasonably hard for no reason like Spirit of Ignorance
Can you use Thieving Dragon Path B on Spirit of Ignorance as an alternative to Supernova?

does loremaster during christmas drop the ice deathknight? spellments?
I believe reindeer knight and Krampus spellements are now exclusive to Krampus during the Christmas holidays. Loremaster used to drop them but they were removed from her in the update.

That didn't used to be the case back in the day but most these days have very low drop rates. Zafaria one used to have an amazing drop rate back in the day but now you could burn through 40 keys and and no one in your team will get the mount.

General Lightbane is typical KI these days. Everything is about time and making you spend lots of time. Nothing has changed since the February youtube "round table" KI don't listen. I know you did a round table recently, I tried listening, but KI will only change things they plan to. Zaepha, you doubt me look what KI actually does!

i'd suggest making friends or faster way is getting into a guild cause there's people that still farm him for max tier pigsie till this day

Omen Stribog is a Stone Key boss, not Gold. He used to be Gold but was changed in the update.

in other news. the housing gauntlet glitch no longer works. Wizard is killing their own game by limiting players who dont have premium. no wonder people shit on KI so much.
