You bring out a really good point about the Bazaar system in this video: the devs CAN NOT use the "it was never intended" card because it was in the bloody game for 16 years. Clearly it was intended lol.
If it wasn’t “intended” like they claim, then it was really poor design that essentially BECAME intended because they sat around for 16 years and made no attempt to “fix” it before now. Like, leave it the heck alone. If it was that important to them, they should have addressed it wayyyyy before now.
There’s also a ton of other situations like that Like people using alt accounts to store tcs, people stacking garden plots on top of each other, people trading empowers to hatch pets, people using bread crumbs to get pet xp, etc The “it was never intended” statement is a pure cop out, because there’s literally sooo many other things that players do that weren’t intended, but they never said anything about those stuff
What other purpose does the Bazaar have other than for Wizards to buy and sell? Why go to the Bazaar to buy something if they cannot buy something they want or need? I am usually at max gold most of the time now that I have already got good pets for all my characters so I now just "Quick Sell" all of my surplus items!
I never understand KI being hesistent with pushing back the paywall. If you compare W101's f2p content to another MMO like Runescape's, it's really bad and it deters new players. I seriously think that there's no reason for the first arc to NOT be free. Malistare equipment can become the best gear f2ps wizards can have, while making The Great Spyre the hub of end game f2p. Also if f2ps have access to selenopolis and Celestia Base Camp, then they'd be introduced to spell weaving and astral magic, which might be a massive incentive to pay for membership. This feels like a massive cope but with the direction they're going with reworking Celestia's introduction... maybe... hopefully for consoles, arc 1 becomes free to play. Aside from that, really good video and I agree with everything said!
It’s going to be very interesting to see where the paywall falls for console players and if that has any effect on PC players 🤔 but yeah, I’ve heard multiple times that when they’ve done the free first arc promos it apparently hasn’t led to a good number of people converting to paying players so that’s their reasoning for not moving the paywall, but I still think it should be moved back at least a bit.
The #1 reason I can't convince my friends to play W101 is because of the paywall. 😭 They hear about that and their terrible CS and never want to play with me...
I’ve legit tried with SO many friends over the years and they play for like an hour, hit the paywall, and then are like “that’s it?” 😭 I’m like please trust me it’s gets better!

I second adding a Spellement conversion option. Either that or fix the drop rates, I'm sick of getting mountains of Storm Spellements and virtually none of any other school.

Idea for a new pity system: Make ALL gear dropped in a specific world become transmutable into world reagents. For example, those useless lvl 162 gear pieces that you would normally sell can instead be transmuted into dream water, the amount depending on the level requirement (i.e. 162 would be 2, 164 would be 4, and so on). For the end of world gear, it would be a 1 to 1 transmute, so you can take a piece of storm gear and convert it into whatever other school you might need if it’s not needed. The values wouldn’t be fixed to what I gave in the example, and the drop rates for gear would probably decrease a small amount across the board with the exception of end of world gear, but I could see this being a good solution that both makes random gear drops useful and makes the grind a lot easier.
Agree about the pack pity thing. I don't bother buying packs because what's the point?? There is NO guarantee or even a good chance you'll get any of the items you want, not even ones labeled as close to Common. It sucks and I prefer crafting everything, especially for house decorations. 😂❤

This gives new players a good amount of play time before hitting a paywall and get to experience enough of the game to actually decide if they want to pay for it or not. 2. I really do believe we need better stitch/customization options. No reason we can’t have more other than they won’t do it. Goes with the mount and pet stitching as well. 3. We need a good pity system for boss gear, I hope they move every system over to the Wallaru system. 4. If we had a pack pity system where we could trade in a certain number of, lets say robes, and trade them in to get the robe we want, I’d probably buy more packs. That way I KNOW even if I get screwed and don’t get the actual piece I want, I can eventually get it by trading in other pieces I have gotten
Something else That I think is ridiculous is the fact that I can trade any number of TC's with any number of millions of different players but if I just need one more Deerknight TC to be able to craft the spell on my Death Wiz and I have several on my other characters and I cannot trade with myself to get it!
as someone thats never paid for wizards, i can say that early paywall just kills my mood to play any further. The entire leveling process should be free to make me care a bit more about my character so i would be more likely to pay for end game

They would've had to completely overhaul reagents and crafting a lot sooner do to complaint. The reason why they didn't have to is because players didn't have enough reason to complain then, because it was a system that (more or less) worked! If it was really unintentional they would've had an entirely different crafting 'meta' to start with because this is clearly disfunctional
Btw they need to rework stuns and minions, cause aint no way they made basically every monster un-stunnable, with everyday ice/myth fodder enemy un-stunnable by default. why introduce something you're going to make completely useless afterwards? as it stands: the best minions to use thus far is: death minion (reanimate), storm minion (storm elemental - PVE), and.......... that's it..! unless you got oodles of monstrology minions these small mechanics are garbage. same goes for accuracy charms...
THIS might be weird question to ask on this video but im trying to find a very specific furniture piece I cannot find on the wiki and I don't know the name of it. The best I can describe it's a blue and gold colored rug that has all the school symbols on it, I know it still is available I saw it once in a house but it not longer is on the housing leaderboard due to the rotating system they sadly removed it from my favorites :( any help is very much appreciated

100%. That and a lot of people just want a classic PVP option in general. I don’t personally PVP, but I’m def sympathetic to everyone who wants it to be better.
These are good ideas but it’s honestly soooo disheartening knowing that KI won’t implement any of these ideas as they haven’t after alllllll these years, plus somehow they end up doing the exact opposite of what players want, KI devs are soooo out of touch of their own game that it’s just sad.
KI need to go ahead and make Wizard City and Krokotopia free permanently, fuck the bullshit limited time free play. The 5th arc is about to start in 2025 and it's a real deal breaker when new players are constantly hit with the early pay wall. Imagine trying to recruit more players to invest into a game and the game not willing to throw a bone to the community.
The game's website needs fixed, the launcher is outdated, and the game CANNOT tote around the "Free to play" title anymore because realistically, you dont get enough of a free experience to decide if you wanna buy into it. For crying out loud, old Runescape has more free content than Wiz. That's actually depressing.
We do, but they take up a talent slot with a star jewel, so they’re not ideal. You can also usually only get one item card that way. People want a different jewel that doesn’t take up an extra talent slot and transfers all the item cards a pet may give: like the gryphon pets often give a blade, feint, and AOE that would be nice to transfer between pets at will.
