Adolins journey stood out to me more this entire re read. Book 1 he goes from as caught up in intrigue as Sadeus to becoming sick of his friends and beliving in the codes and being honorable. In the second book he plays the duel game so well and sadeus is always in his face sneaking up on him and taunting him. And he does it thinking adolin cant do anything back. Until in the right momemt he gets him. I cant help think it was the right choice. If he lived the windrunners and lightweavers cant focus on training their squires. The unmade run rapent through the tower why sadeus deliberatly turns it against people. He creates chaos taravangion can use against him. Teft never swears his oath in the infiltration. Adolins choice matters because it aided everyone making it to the battle. Danilnars flashbacks show he was always scheming to "lose" dalinar in battle. He would of done it again. Hes too confident and not ready for this new world he had to go. And poor Adolin blames himself and says dalinar saved them in wor. He thinks he did nothing in a world of radiants. But his passion and kindness with maya goes on to win again and demonstrates there is more than just radiants to the oathpact and relationship with the spren
Hot take for the Ire: They're basically Sel's Stargate Command. They've figured out how to cross the plasma field safely and now they're doing Elantrian SG-1 on other worlds' subastrals.
