For navy you really want to research the anti fire damage shit in the naval support tree. Those critical hits are pains in the arse.
My understanding is you should consider kaiseredux as ‘chaos’ mode.
Sometimes it can be better because of all the discontinued narrative threads/focus trees interacting. Therefore you get a more different story, but at the risk of bad chaos, a lot of the modifiers are unbalanced a lot of the factions can be unbalanced, so you could win easily taking a meme path or be destroyed as greece because Germany Russia france and gb all back Turkey, and form a bloc. Or you can play Hungary and never fight a real war because your horses are 5x more powerful than tanks. To be honest, so long as you keep yourself honest and don’t go for the overpowered meme builds (becuase it’d be sad for you cool annual narrative style) I think I’d like it. Everyone who plays it seems to consider themselves masters whereas in a good sense I comfier you to be quite a ‘serious’ player haha.
How did your navy die? You split it up into 3 small navies that could be destroyed one at a time. Use one massive navy for supremacy, and use a swarm of 15-20 stack submarines.
Keiserredux is too silly to be fun.
no keep destroyers and carriers and cruisers in a big fleet and use corvettes, and destroyers and submarines in convoy you can also add cruisers to it as well you will shit on ai

Kaiserredux can be thought of as a fun-mode, historical accuracy isn’t as important since the Russian dude who took over Mongolia can larp as Genghis Khan and take over Asia, Russia can form a Euroasian superstate, and Germany gets its own alternative focus trees (only if they are in as bad a crisis to provoke that).
I might be crazy but I’d swear countries get way more divisions, so maybe look into division limiters.
@Colonel Cam my pro tip for the navy is to put all your non-Sub Ships in strike force in the areas you want (manually put them in near the selected area) and put all of your subs on convoy raiding in the same area.
And for naval invasions, do the same thing but change your non-sub ships to invasion support
Kaiserredux has a lot more fun paths and scenarios so I'd say it's at least worth a shot.

Idk how navies work because I don’t like playing the uk but what I do if I play them is consolidate all ships into 1 massive fleet and turn on the thing that allows damaged ships to detach
49:10 Yucatan is the place with the most Maya, actually a majority* even until today, in fact that’s why there’s some rebel movements in the south, normally not looking for independence just an end to assimilation of the maya, and a fairer economic system, maybe some decentralisation too.

I just had a very long (by my standards) campaign as the French commune
except I decided to disallow myself from changing my conscription or economy laws meaning civilian economy and service by requirement
the goal? destroy every alliance that isn't the third internationale (because full world conquest would take literally years as in irl years due to how slow the game runs for me in the late game)
I did manage to take down Germany, Austria-Hungary, Russia and the antante (in that order) but Japan just decided to stack all of their divisions in the home islands, put all of their fleets on strike force and just stand there

its 1943 and I have been trying to break down japan for at least a year now
overall it was surprisingly easy because in the early game there's barely any difference between that challenge run vs casual run while in the late game you should have enough allies to actually hold the line for you while you run around with tanks

In all of my hours of Kaiserreich or Kaiserredux I have never seen Austria collapsing into anarchy and being annexed by Germany, does somebody know how this happens? Because that seems like a way to get a ultra Strong Reichspakt.
I think that they must do "end dual rule" focus, and start losing war against the czechs. Happens to me every game.
If you ever play millenium dawn will you create different rules for the different outlooks, particularly salafist outlook?
Come to think of it you should create different rules for islamist nations in general (theyre not just in md, there's also some in kaiserreich/redux, cold war iron curtain, new ways etc).
i find kaiserredux to be better in my opinion, the same things tend to happen such as france declaring on germany but the allies tend to be far more varied than kasiereich

I beg of you please consider upgrading railways and not infrastracture for supply, and also please take navies in the peace deal
Kaiserredux isn't 'better' per se, it complements KR. KR is mechnically sound, but KX adds a lot of interesting wackiness, and restores a lot of older KR stuff. e.g. possiiblities of the U.S avoiding civil war, Russia joining Germany, Britain having a royalist coup, Gamelin taking over the French Commune etc. The sheer number of variables makes KX very fun in its own right, even if it is far more unbalanced than KR. There's also a lot of content for ignored KR countries, e.g. Bohemia
Gamelin can take over the French Commune in Kaiserreich too. IIRC after the Jacobines win the 1936 elections and try to purge everyone, you can have Gamelin stop the purges and topple the Totalists.

in my french campaign I unintentionally made Hungary win because I pulled Austria into the second Weltkrieg before the civil war fired so Hungary just walked into Vienna unopposed as the entire austrian army got stuck in alsace Lorraine
that was pretty convenient for me but after that Hungary just sat there doing nothing of interest
