- A switch issue at 9th Avenue prevented R trains from terminating on the middle track at 9th Avenue during weekend construction that required them to be rerouted to the D line. As a result, trains were long-relayed to 62nd Street. This provided ample opportunities to get footage of R trains running on the West End Elevated, which is an unusual sight. Enjoy!

+R68 N/W: DJ Hammers caught the C train terminating at Coney Island on the same weekend the F was terminating at Euclid Avenue.
Don't forget it's few r160s running on the west end

***** Actually, The R train used to be outside back then, but in 1987 it became a full underground line because the r line didn't have any yard to lay up their trains, while the N line had 2 yards, so that's why it became a full underground line. I mean it was a smart idea for the M.T.A to do that don't you think?
I just love the sight of those classic r46s. I've seen just two of them running on the f line during the weekend, the rest were the r160s. Oh, how I wish they retained the r46.
And the R32s, R38s, R40 Slants, R40s, R42s, and R44s.
I was a big R38 fan

Well not really because back in the day R trains use to go to Astoria which is the elevated part where the N and W are now today.

Didn't the R train go to Astoria at one point in time? Also the C can get some elevated fresh air time if they extend its last stop to Ozone Park
I remember someone suggesting extending the C to Lefferts. Wasn't it Knuckles from Super Subway Bros who said that in his C train review?

RJ Productions Oh yeah! Knuckles did mention that on his a train review. I agree with him because the A train has too much work to be doing. The c train can go to Lefferts Blvd and the A train can go to Far Rockaway and Beach 116 st.
I would honestly agree with extending the C to Ozone Park - Lefferts Boulevard because the A is split between Far Rockaway - Mott Avenue, Ozone Park - Lefferts Boulevard, and (during rush hours) Rockaway Park - Beach 116th Street. Taking one of the options away would allow more service to the other two terminals.
That's just my opinion though, feel free to disagree ;)

Always had a fondness for the D, I believe it was one of the 1st, if not 1st lines to get a "makeover" in the early 70's w/ the colorful bench-chairs and A/C?

I feel like this should be a permanent service change as well as swapping the N and R in Queens this will allow for more service flexibility along the BMT Broadway line. Additional permanent service changes could be added later
The only new difference is that the N train will use the 63 St tunnel and the J or W train will take over from 36 St local down to Bay Ridge 95 St

Awesome catch and for the R46 R train they can be swapped at Jamaica Yard for the F train since it's elevated in Brooklyn except for Downtown Brooklyn-179th street and 4th ave 9th street-Church Ave. Did ride on 5584-5588 from 23rd street (M23sbs PATH Train F & M trains )to 5th Ave Bryant Park (7, B,D,F & M trains) on January 20th 2015
This feels weird because the R is always underground. Besides when it’s deadheading express from train yard past 9th ave to 36th street

Albert Gaming It used to go outdoors along the Astoria Line before 1987. This was changed due to lack of yard access and train vandalism.

Before the swap between Coney Island and Jamaica the R train went outside when deadheading to the Jamaica yard because the Jamaica Yard is outside now that the swap happened and R46's now run on the N/Q/W they will always be outside when there in Queens or Brooklyn.

Besides. Why did they ride them all the way down the line to 62nd street. Or better yet Bay Parkway and end there instead of 9th Avenue. They should have runned them to Bay Parkway as revenue service and end there. This was silly.
