Just found you. I just pre sorted about twenty gallons of marbles that I picked out of the rubble of my burned down house after it thawed from winter and before the bulldozers came. I found every last one. I don’t know anything about what I have. But I did just ID a bag of potential dichro vortex and three Christiansen zebras I’m guessing. I took a black light to the buckets and was blown away how many glow green or orange. One entire bowl of pink and blue marbles all glow. Hundreds of them. I’m so excited to work out what i have!!!
Wow Angela ! So sorry about your house ! But at least we know that most marbles will survive something like that. I hope you enjoy identifying them, there’s so many different types!
Those Germans are crazy awesome Ive got a cuple dozen most of mine are under a half inch . Few 1.5 in an one 3in latt.core swirl thats in wet mint . This was such a great episode Stephen. Thanks for sharing looking forward to part 2
I owned every Steelie marble in grade school, because they had to hit my beautiful, brown Agate Boulder 5 times to win it for keepers, as my Boulder rolls over and crushed what was their cats eye yellow colored, chipped, glass marble I just won into the soft grass in a game of free style open field no boundies gsme.,. Or did I loose that game?.... I have quite a collection and find them everywhere. And I never lost my Marble...???? I will always remember you brought back some old memories.....
@@stephenbahrmarbles My oldest has the collection. He found a large cache in a jar under a old dwelling he helped recycle... Agates old glass and beautiful old fired clay....I was afraid of one of the marbles slipping out of that guy's fingers on your video, only to crack one of your prize examples.. Great job, thanks again
I hope your oldest has them held proudly on display. That was my bad ! the Christensen Blue Ray slipped out of my hand . Not good! I should have edited that out

Stephen..I was the collector who did some searching and found the experimental Spiderman sulfide ceramic pieces from a former worker used in the Vitro Anacortes trials. Allowed another collector to buy from me half of the plain figures. I had 21 pieces made into same size as Vitro Anacortes used in experiments , gave two marbles away but still have remaining examples. They tried other designs which I have in my collection.
Donald awesome info ! Thank you for your research , I appreciate it : hopefully it was explained fairly accurately. Give me your address so I can film your collection! 🟢

I suggest having them identified by seasoned collectors first, since MF Christensen marbles go for quite a bit of money usually. You can check out All About Marbles for example. Lots of experienced collectors on there.
At one point in time marbles were played with and extremely popular for kids. I don’t think those heydays will ever happen like that again. They like do to race them now, otherwise they have just become very popular collectables.

@@stephenbahrmarbles Do they make newer ones that glow? Or is it an indication of age?
Both older ones and newer ones will glow but it’s more common from the older companies, before a lot of the E.P.A. standards went into action.
Just a great video, well done good sir. 👍
Thanks Cameron ! 🔴

Would kids actually play with these or are these made for adults only?
