SCOOORE!!! IMO you got the better of the two - the photos are absolutely STUNNING! It's seriously so neat to me that you follow my vids Chris, thanks for your engagement and commitment to the marble hobby!
@Meta Mibs No problem and thanks for making the videos! It's cool to see so many people getting into the hobby. I just started about 4 years ago when I purchased my first contemporary piece. It wasn't long before my interest in vintage and antique marbles ignited.
I'm 76 and have found very old marbles while gardening, fishing remote streams, buying storage units, garage sales, and estate sales. I've found everything from plain clay to the amazingly big and gorgeous. We've tried to sell some and usually end up donating them. I don't get this marble buying/investing/collecting at all but I'm glad it makes some people happy. I like them because I recall when every school yard was filled with marble game pits. The ultimate marble being the "steely."
So glad you and others like the split format! I agree that the handmades (and machinemades) deserve their own limelight! Thank you for the engagement Cody :)
The #1 handmade is an antique German handmade Latticinio core swirl with extremely rare colored base glass (any true colored base glass on a core swirl is a roughly 20× or more multiplier in terms of value).
The only thing I can think of to help expand and grow your channel is to start making shorts. (Even though I don't really like the shorts it can help quite a bit bringing attention to your channel) I'd do something like "top 3 crazy sold marbles" showcase 3 different marbles for 5 seconds each. If you do any voice over try to be keep it short but energetic something like "can you believe this price!"
@@metamibsI see you video views went up from 13,000 to 16,000 in the past few days... maybe it's because of the shorts? Idk. Anyways in your shorts try asking the audience questions to get more interaction. Hope your channel starts to blow up for you.
How does one figure out a value on marbles. I have a box of vintage ones and some pretty cool looking ones that I would love to get figured out if they are valuable or not.
I didn’t know marble were value I have boxes and boxes of marble in my basement my grandfather had as he was a kid. And mix with some marble he bought me as a kid what I got for Christmas and birthday. From him I have no clue I can’t tell difference between hand and machine
Very interesting! I just acquired a huge amount of marbles from my grandpa's estate. Not sure if they're valuable or not, but thank you for the video and benchmarks what to look for. ☺️
Well eBay seems like a pretty good place You may also try Facebook marketplace. Just make sure to take good pics! And remember, condition matters, a lot!
You'll first have to identify them! I started with the Marble Collecting Society of America website and Stephen Bahr's RUclips videos. If you want to dig in further, I'd suggest looking into the many marble collecting books which frequently contain approximate values.
After keeping and collecting marbles from bottle dumps for over 50 years....this stuff isn't even slightly rare or impressive. I'm evidently the richest man on the planet according to these prices.🤔⚠️👎 The new stuff is nice to look at but shouldn't even be considered as collectable.
I appreciate your feedback - on my feedback! haha I've tried my best to reduce the pops and hisses in post-production, but I'm far from an audio engineer. I've wanted to purchase a proper microphone, may just move that up the "want" list. Again, thank you for the honest criticism and your engagement!

I bought the #2 guinea marble and it is absolutely gorgeous! I actually was outbid by less than a dollar on the number 3 guinea.

Gorgeous marbles! Thanks for posting!
Great video! Would love to see separate Top 10 lists for auction sales and BIN sales in each of the machine-made and handmade categories.
Thanks for bringing it to us, enjoyed the show 🏹
LOVE THE HANDMADE SECTION!

Loved the honorable mentions!!

I love where your head is at @rashakwawa!
I've been meaning to post shorts but haven't gotten around to it - keep a lookout tomorrow 😉

Any suggestions about how to get an evaluation of a somewhat random collection of marbles to see if tthere are older or valuable ones. Thanks.

Where do you go to sell your marbles
Well eBay seems like a pretty good place
You may also try Facebook marketplace.

Where do I get my marbles appraised
I have a question. I have about 15 hundred marbles. Know nothing about them were would I go to get them appraised
I’ve got a red mica marble (seven of them), how much they worth each?
How can I find out if mine are worth anything
You'll first have to identify them! I started with the Marble Collecting Society of America website and Stephen Bahr's RUclips videos. If you want to dig in further, I'd suggest looking into the many marble collecting books which frequently contain approximate values.
I sold number #7. It was gorgeous!
I have old looking beached marbles
Can I send you a picture of some marbles we are selling for an estate to see if you can spot anything valuable?
Ohh so lovely ☺️
I'd vote for multiple videos 1 video for single vintage marbles 1 for hand made antique and 1 for any number of other categories.
