It’s true, in my human biology class, they believe that smell caters for at least 50-70% of taste. Makes sense when you see videos of people covering there noses when they have to eat disgusting foods
You guys missed one sense in relation to sight, Depth Perception! That's definitely got to be a sense of its own. As anyone who's done LSD or Mushrooms can tell you depth perception is something we really take for granted until we loose it hahaha. You don't need to do drugs to loose your sense of depth though, there's a rare condition called "Alice in Wonderland syndrome". People who suffer from it can't properly tell objects sizes. It's really abstract and hard to understand if you've never experienced loosing it because it sounds absurd to say you can't tell if your cat or sofa is larger or if something is 10ft or 1/2 a mile away. But that is another sense that most of us take for granted!
Going for a walk on LSD feels really weird for me cuz I feel bigger than everything else, so walking long distances is really easy and doesn't feel too tiring or time consuming
I don't feel like it's that hard to tell. If you don't have a lot of information to tell you how far objects are relative to each other, it's hard to tell their respective sizes from a distance. Like how it's hard to tell how big an object is in space if you don't know it's distance.
@@retardationnation869 Actually, empathy could be considered to be a derivative sence. Anyway, I would not be 100% sure about it being based only on basic sences.

It could just be subconscious.
Those are mental images, probably a sense all on its own. But I do believe you can see when your eyes are closed, stare hard enough and you’ll actually see the inside of your eyelids.
You are always seeing, but not your dreams, you are imaging those. When your eyes are closed you are actually seeing the inside of your eye socket but there isn't a lot of light which is why you see redish color if you put a light close to your eye while it's closed
I dont think umami is as pronounced a flavor as others though. The “core” of the flavor is almost like spring pond water. Not awful, but like a “sickly sweet.” Its more the pungency of something rather than its savor.
As far a I know Umami means "savory", so definitely not sickly sweet. To me sickly sweet would be things like black pepper (with a bite too) and rosemary also has a sickly, rotting smell in excess.
My father is colorblind. He has no troubles with stoplights. As infographics mentioned, you can still see light when certain colors blend together with each other. They light up & even if we can’t prove they can see the colors, they’d quickly notice the top light lit up & the bottom means “go”.

I'm fortunate that mine is so easy to manage, because it's mainly just in my feet. Imagine not being able to tell where your hands were unless you were watching them like a hungry hawk.
I honestly lost my smell a long time ago, yeah not being able to smell anymore is pretty dangerous but in my opinion since I used to be able to smell things , it can be good that you can't smell especially when certain smells can cause the gag reflex to happen and sometimes makes you throw up
He joked but I believe our minds suddenly lose not only color but the proper response to visuals all of A sudden, hence how we have soo many accidents and people thinking things look different to other people's observation of the same thing. The "colour blindness" section is a bit off, I suffer from "colour blindness" but can still see colours, it's just difficult to discern certain colours if their close enough. I looked it up once and if I remember correctly there are in fact cases of true color blindness (can only see black and white) but it's extremely rare and almost all people who are "color blind" can still see many colors
My sense of thirst doesn't work right :/ I had chronic chapped lips when I was a kid because I just didn't notice when I needed water.
