Considering how the nightingale is designed its a surprise that this thing even has articulation. Oh and i noticed the beam effects taken from Sinanju.
Yeah. Tbh, I have no idea how bandai can make a well-articulated kit of the Nightingale. It's just such a static design, for better or worse. Perhaps they can just do it like the Deep Striker and make it be a display piece and nothing more.
@@kurosan0079 I can't believe it's been six years since they released the nightingale. Feels like yesterday, and yeah thats what i think the re 100 is though they should of give the gun's bipod some articulation at the very least.
A lot of people are complaining about the articulations... Guys, with a kit that size it is simply not possible to have a SUPER articulated piece of engineering. I think the designers at Bandai did what they could do with that design. Look at those legs, look at that chest! I mean c'mon what do you expect? The Nightingale was meant to be used in space, it's like a big spaceship with two arms and a head. They were able to make it move in the video game Gundam Extreme vs. Maxi Boost, but it still isn't flipping around like a dancer from Circe du Soleil. I firmly believe that Bandai would've added more articulations if they could, but unfortunately the Nightingale is a display piece and was never meant to be as articulate and flexible as a hooker dancing around an oily pole.
A way to fix the Nightingale's eye problem is to just take a green highlighter and go over it. It works to turn clear parts another color of clear with minimal effort.
The other good thing about the way the kit goes together, as well as the way the sections come apart, is that it makes storage and transporting this huge mech much easier.
You know what, buying it, I simply first have to find a way to fit it on my main table. And I though the full armor unicorn took up a lot of space, oh this will be fun.
Also those hands are currently only used on "high end" master grades, the rx-78 3.0, nu ver ka, sazabi ver ka (may notice the hands differ slightly, rounded and blocky to meet eff and zeon standards) and hi nu ver ka
The hands originally come from the MG Sazabi ver. Ka so they weren't designed from the ground up for this kit. And you're also right about the beam effect parts.
IMO the fate of this line is riding on the MK-III and the GP-04, since they're standard sized MS/Gundam Even the new lineart of the MK-III for the new line looks smoking with the updated modern aesthetics Really looking forward for the future kits Nightigale as far as I am concerned was only used as the flagship kit/unit for the hype factor
The Nightingale is what you get when you take the Sazabi and soak it in Mutagen. You put the two together and you can see the similarities between the kits, even if the Nightingale is severely stretched and heavily-modified. It's closer to a mobile armor than a mobile suit.
Those hands are first used on the MG Nu Gundam Ver.ka but the finger is more square-ish. Quiet a few MG's used those kind of hands, but this particular hands is from the MG Sazabi Ver,Ka. To be honest they look great but if you pose it a lot the joint will become very loose which I don't like. Personally I prefer the swappable hands on the MG Seed/Wing line. That's just me :D And that beam effect parts is from the MG Sinanju Ver ka~
19:37 the beam effects are from the master grade sinanju and this isn't the first kit of one of Chars cca mobile suites to use them the sazabi ver. ka did the same and the real grade sazabi uses the RG sinanju's beam effects as well, they also always color the beams for Char's suites green instead of yellow like on the high-grade sazabi which had its own beam effects, how is Char one of the most popular characters in all of Gundam and yet since the sinanju became a thing Bandai won't spend a penny (or whatever the Japanese equivalent is) to give it its own beam effects but will give it a green recolor of the sinanju's?
...think you're not meant to use the sticker for the eye with an led installed. Nu gundam ver ka and (i assume) hi nu are just like this, they do need some paint around the eyes to stop them looking like gm's though
***** Well the marasai is the only kit I know that used stickers this way. Now that I checked, mg nu gundam ver ka, hi nu ver ka have stickers that completely obscure the eyes, but the light piping means once the led is on the correct eye color is there provided you have the green led's, but black is needed around the eyes to avoid gm looking gundams. ...yeah I repeated myself but did you know mg sazabi ver ka uses a water slide instead that pipes the light? This tells me bandai gives us stickers for newer kits for those who don't bother with led's, sorry man :c
I wonder how this mobile suit fights. It's bulky and fragile because too many gas pipes and exposed booster especially underneath the skirt. Sorry I don't have any idea in the novel.
This RE Line should, and seriously MUST, include the Mobile Suits from the 00 Movie... I would hate to have my future MG 00Q without his partners, and all his previous incarnations, sharing their space with the others Meisters
Arrowdodger im pretty sure for now its going to be UC. Since people have been asking other UC Suits to be made since back then people have been asking for it.
Planning on getting this. Do you think its still worth the price? I mean i love it and i dont care abt the articulation cos its just plain massive. It just looks cool
If you think it looks cool, you got the money and you don't care about articulation, go for it. (The only reason not to buy this would be if you wanted more articulation, then I'd recommend getting a Master Grade :p )
Nightingale has always been held back by its design, as past 3rd party kits have proven. I think with any more articulation, well, it'd be weighed down by Earth's gravity, let's put it that way. It'd collapse into pieces like some RGs do. Its failure to hold its rifle is a shame. Really wish it had a dedicated trigger finger hand and some other way to help with the weight of it all
no sub-arms and doesn't look like it was heavy because of the little number of thrusters and stand too atraight to look like it never weighed more than 2 kilos
The RE 1/100 kits are not gonna come with as many features as MGs. Its well known that the Reborn line is basically large HG Revive kits. A step up from the HGs and a step down from the MGs. They're great kits, but they're not gonna be as detailed or feature oriented as an MG. Some of them, sans the IBO kits, dont have inner frames.
This is probably one of the most ridiculous mobiles suit design. It works more as a mobile armor rather than a mobile suit. Good thing the Sazabi had a better design.
hahaha lol, you replied. thank you! that bit of provocation is a bit rude i apologize. its been a while till someone replied on my comment. and you actually answered. mostly youtubers dont comment often, really THANK YOU!
Nope, it's from the Beltorchika's Children novel, which is like an alternate retelling of Char's Counterattack (making the Nightingale the alternate version of the Sazabi)
this thing is TOO mono-colored maybe having 2 or more shades of red would help (all of RE sucks by the way, not even comparing with some of the HGUC line with the look and the hollow parts)
This kit is honestly disappointing. The articulation is a bit meh, and it has no stand compatibility as far as I know. The hands are reuses of the MG Sazabi Ver. Katoki, the beams were reused from the MG Sinanju, and the entire sculpt is from a resin kit from B-Club, except for specific parts. I still want to get this as a companion-piece for my MG Hi-Nu Ver. Katoki, but it is a bit underwhelming for it's scale. If this was a 1/144 HGUC scale kit, it would've been acceptable. They could've at least made new beams and had a new decal for the skirt and such.
That is true. But it could still have had it's own beam sabers and marking decals. HG kits have their own beam sabers occasionally, and they have marking decals quite often.
Niko the Weeb are you insane? You want good articulation on this huge 1/100 scale kit.... I think your asking too much of Bandai.... Just accept as it is...
+That One Zaku I mean this kit couldve had decent articulation, I know that it could. Just takes slight more effort then they really put into this kit.
I don't mind that it doesn't have great articulation.

it moves fast because it only fought in space.
