Shounen Jump is a good example where each issue is just a collection of newest chapters of various popular manga at that time frame. It's where you go read the newest one piece chapter when it's out. Japan is still a very outdated conservative society when it comes to many things. So books and magazines in your nearest bookstore 5 min away from your home is still part of the daily life. I'm probably the only weirdo who reads manga digitally here.

The first Hathaway movie was such a slog. Most of it was just showing off the studio's ability to animate scenery. A lot of window dressing and not enough plot.
