      @muhdikmal3287 no, watch it again. After her daughter is taken away, she dances to her death, then little Aira meets her spirit thinking it was her mom, who is also dead. Acrosilky thinks Aira is her daughter because her memory is off post death, but it's only when she dies for good at the end that she remembers her daughter.

    Momo and Aira both received all those memories. Turbo Granny seems cold but she's really just ancient and tells things like they are without sugar coating anything. The entire series is basically sometimes romantic comedy, sometimes action sci-fi and sometimes horror and tragedy. The manga can get really dark sometimes.

    Although it can actually be understood implicitly, for those who may not understand:
    1. Acro Silky does various jobs including “selling herself” and going into debt to make ends meet for her and her daughter.
    2. Acro Silky's daughter was taken by the yakuza because Acro Silky failed to pay her debts. The child was either “trafficked” or her organs were sold to pay off the debt.
    3. The ballet scene takes place on top of a building. At the end of the ballet, Acro Silky did a backflip and jumped from a height head first because she was sad that his daughter was taken. This could be the reason why she lost her memory afterwards & mistook Aira for her daughter (it could also be that when humans become yokai, their memories are partially lost).
    4. Acro Silky's daughter is confirmed to have died after being taken by the yakuza. The reason is that the last panel in the manga is seen the two of them walking towards the light while there is a monologue “hopefully they go to a better world”.

    • @AstroBlox

      I agree on most but number three is too vague as an anime-only watcher. More visual clues were needed 'cause I had to pixel-peep to see the concrete tile lines beneath the puddle, and the 6 frames where they showed her going off the ledge. Everything else can be mistaken as a dream/hallucination sequence as she was bleeding out on that curb.

    Another perfectly crafted episode, with a few points worth mentioning:
    1.From the money on the bedside table and the room's setup, we can infer that being a sex worker was one of her many jobs (this shows her willingness to do anything for her daughter).
    2.From the comic, we learn that after waking up, she realized she had lost her daughter, which led her to jump off the building.
    3.She actually became a wandering ghost for quite some time, having forgotten everything. Later, it was the touch of the pink-haired girl that brought back her memories, transforming her from an ordinary ghost into a vengeful spirit.
    Truly heartbreaking.

      DandaDan also is easier for us to relate to when it’s certain Yokai because it deals with our every day lives. • @4nanaide

      Demon Slayer is way too immature and dumb with insufferably stupid characters. Anything tragic that could have been portrayed on the show gets overshadowed by how non-serious and overly childish everything else is. It doesn't take itself seriously most of the time, and when it tries to do so, it fails miserably.
      DANDADAN has level headed maturity and a good direction, while also not taking away the fun out of a show. Characters are actually living in the same world and interacting with each other, they aren't just there to say their lines and move to the next scene.

    A sad little detail. The yokai keep reliving the moment she lost her daughter. Thats why we saw the first pov and then back to the present, and another moment before she "thanosed", she saw the house wrecked. All she wanted was to relive the moment where her daughter hugged her, looked up to her and said "mommy, thank you for everything", which is the happiest moment for any parent.

    This episode reminded me of my favorite episode in my favorite anime Death Parade. The music, no dialogue and dance sequence uuhh the feels. As a mother my heart breaks such a beautifully tragic back story. I really do hope she is with her daughter again. Regardless of how bad a ghost she was her intentions were at the soul good.

    "That Scenario" is common in Japan, Brazil, Mexico, China and in European countries (Medieval times) Where the poor is indebted to Mafia/Cartel/Gang/Secret Society and if you can't payback they will take precious things from you whether it alive or not

    This anime is a complete masterpiece so far in my opinion. Every moment from laughter, the epic fights, and then this? A chefs kiss beautiful moment with characters we didn't expect. ALSO, try in English. I feel the English VA's did so well

      Why when the Japanese voice acting is master class?

    • @katherinemerkel3505
      @katherinemerkel3505 2 месяца назад

      News flash not everyone has trouble following subtitles and the Japanese voice acting is just as good. This is a Japanese show with Japanese high school students. Watching in Japanese is not immersion breaking. Watching in English is.

    • @TyJonesy
      @TyJonesy 2 месяца назад

      @katherinemerkel3505 So to begin with, I have zero issue following subtitles. I also like both English and japanese, so no need to be rude. And I was also just saying they should try it. If you want the real take and not just mine, the English vocabulary for this is better and captures it better. The voice actors for both are great. But since we got a little rude there, I'll state the truth.

    • @katherinemerkel3505
      @katherinemerkel3505 2 месяца назад

      @ And that would be nothing short of your opinion regarding dialogue not truth. Despite the dialogue in Japanese being more true to the characters and original script that the author wrote. The only thing you can say is that some of Crunchyrolls subs are iffy.

    • @TyJonesy
      @TyJonesy 2 месяца назад

      @katherinemerkel3505 I've watched it in both, WITH other people in discord reacts. It's pretty agreed the English VA hit home. Again, just opinions and only said to check it out.

    I read the manga but i'll never though this anime's version was so awesome made (Animations & music). It's really a plus to the Manga, i re-discover this moment.
    More infos about this poor woman, she worked in so many jobs even prostitution then when she lost her child, she made a last dance a jump from a building/balcony.
    Aira and the Yokai share a same pain, the lost of their loved one Mother/daughter and they share at the end this pain and this forgiveness/appeasement.
    Good job to staff who made this episode.

    In the episode at the 16:39 to 16:41 time frame is where you understand what really happened. There is a very brief scene with her foot coming close to the edge then leaps, and then she is in the air, then her body falls down to the left of the screen and the stars get smeared... Sensitive topic, shonen and tv constraints, and yet they committed.

Some casual mentions i can make that i dont think I've seen on the channel are Cowboy bebop, Wolfs Rain, and Inuyasha. Those are all older but trust me man you wont run out. There is always a hidden gem when it comes to Anime and American fiction books.
