are familiar with it too. She needs to slow down, explain everything in very basic language and give people a chance to absorb what she is showing us.

This is a very rudimentary video, and if you cant even comprehend this, then good luck getting past the included software to set up things like parental controls 😂

Sitting here, I just ran a speed test, and on my wireless connection I’m getting 58.37 Mbps download speeds-not too shabby, considering we pay for 50. (Never mind there are literally 200 other wireless routers in our building!) I barely remember that Netflix and Hulu used to stutter and stagger. Multiplayer gaming connections don’t drop or lag. Great stuff.

Bad form for an instructional video. She spends 30 seconds blabbing about wifi at the beginning that has nothing to do with the specific topic, and then speed-talks through the setup steps. "And for more info, check the links on this page" -- the only link is to their channel. Almost a complete fail. The task isn't difficult, I just wanted to see it explained.

Well, I don't have a modem. I have a optical fibre wire connected directly to my computer's Ethernet card. How can I connect WiFi then ? Will I have to buy a modem and a WiFi router or will a particular type WiFi router do the trick ?

I have a strange router behavior scenario to ask about, I was having problems with Netflix and rebooted the wireless router also moved the router closer to the trouble TV with a longer cable that is connected to the ISP box. I had no problems connectiing to internet with my pc(was somewhat flakey though with no dns server)) So I go reboot and noticed I had connected the ISP box to my wifi router incorrect, it was plugged into the blue ethernet rj 45 instead of the yellow "internet" labelled rj45 jack. Is it possible to have service with a wrongly connected isp/wifi box?

She's great and clear and right to the point except for the brief intro. I found I had to back up numerous times because she talks too fast for me, but I loved the visuals and her dialect........I find so many of these very difficult to understand when a heavy middle eastern or british accent is there .

LAN connection setup can also be done wireless also.Do read some below comments also.Why is he configuring wireless with LAN attached on both device, which is done with wire...

What plug in do you need? You need a modem and router. Most internet services will sell/rent/give you a gateway box which includes a modem, router, and wifi all in one unit. So you may not necessarily need to do any of this. Now, if you want to add an extra wifi access point, you can connect and configure a wireless router to act as an AP or connect a dedicated access point.

The network cable goes from the router (not the modem) to the laptop.
