A Couple of years ago Jimmy made a joke about the often forgotten Gypsies in the Nazi genocide. There was the usual media outrage, but so many thought that it was only Jews that were murdered, it was a good thing to remind people about the whole horror.

I am a Rom (what I prefer to call it, others prefer Gypsy) myself, and I thought the joke was brilliant for the reason you mentioned but also because it makes fun of the fact that there is a lot less stigma around hating us than other people groups. The same could incidentally be said about the Jehova's Witnesses who were also killed during those events. The fact that several anti-holocaust and holocaust remembrance organisations went out of their way to publically assume that people were laughing at the face value of the joke made me a bit scared; It either shows very little faith in humanity or a deep, internalised anti-ziganism (anti-gypsy sentiment) on the behalf of the spokespeople of those organisations: If it's not obviously ironic to these people that Jimmy wants Gypsies dead, then they must not be confident in their own convictions that it is wrong to kill Roma people. -Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but that's the vibe I got.

I grew up with a few friends that were homeschooled, and the sort of stuff we had to teach them about was similar to this level. Like my one homie thought Abraham Lincoln was the second President.
