  • When I started comparing Garmin Tactix Delta and Fenix 6X Pro (with my experience of switching from Apple Watch), I captured quite a few aspects which got stuck and I really wanted to share. Fitness features was such a big part of the experience, that I had to dedicate whole video just for that.
So, I talk about my experience of having a digital professional coach on my wrist - I am fascinated by Fenix and Tactix watches ability to make me a better athlete. I go into more details about what aspects and insights had most impact on my training and overall experience of fitness tracking.
If you want to get exclusive materials and tips while I am doing research for my future tech videos, feel free to subscribe to my mailing list here: bit.ly/3ye6YFR
    0:15 Intro
0:40: I am talking through different ways Garmin watches display the fitness metrics. More about different type of load and how Garming watch is guiding through those different load exercises.
Its really interesting how I was how much I was “hooked up” on improving my VO2Max, while, for comparison, Apple watch also tracks VO2Max, but I never was interested into improving it during all those 3 years wearing it and exercising often. It took me a week to feel the desire of improving VO2Max after I started using Tactix Delta.
5:34 I mention Lactate Threshold and heart rate strap
6:04 Talking more about recovery, “Body Battery”, sleep and stress impact on recovery rate. How Garmin watch actually made me to have a rest when I really need it.
8:44 Gamification of training status and being educating by Garmin watch impact on my fitness levels overview. Trusting it more because advises are based on actual data collected about me - that made a huge difference for me.
10:30 Covering how many customisations are available for workouts. Going into details about hear rate alerts, as well as ability to avoid negatively (incorrectly) impacting VO2Max when running with additional load, such as heavy backpack or pushing a pushchair.

Great!! Which band do you prefer? That ultrafit looks fantastic.

definitely that one I have on Fenix 6X (I guess its called ultrafit). It fits very well and very comfortable. At first I was worried that it will take more time to dry out, but actually while it take time to dry out - it feels like dry on the hand faster that silicon one dries out. It's hard to go back to silicon band after wearing this one.

My Delta Tactix was my favo from day one, now i do rock the Delta Solar and it´s a king in design and track stats...:)
Been on AW from first gen and last gens i use them for the LTE...:) Both have their pros and cons, but overall my Delta is the watch i use the most and it´s just solid. :)

And I'm proud of a recently purchased Tactix Delta Solar. An exceptional watch, but I have a small disappointment ... The brightness is low compared to a Fenix 6x Pro Sapphire and I don't know the reason. It has low brightness for watch faces, activities, maps. How does the watch behave, does it have good brightness like the Fenix series with sapphire? Thanks!

@@sorinmitrea5138 I didn’t notice any difference in brightness between Delta Sapphire and Fenix 6X Pro. I would suggest to check with Garmin support if you really see a big difference. I would say it’s worth a try.

Excellent overview; which Garmin watch do you prefer? Thanks

Thanks mate. Good question - it depends if cost is important. I would go for Tactix Delta Solar if money wouldn't be a question, but Fenix 6X Pro Solar has most of features I care about for much lower price.

Thanks a lot. And really good ideas, thanks - I will add these to my list. Can't promise it will happen soon, as it takes weeks for me to complete 1 video and I have few I have committed to already - the one about talking how Garmin Fenix and Delta wins over Apple Watch.
If you come up with any other idea for video, definitely drop them in comments. Maybe I will do something more simple like a blog type of short video covering these topics, so it will be less editing and product shots and more of simple content sharing experience in simple way.

@@wza360 your videos are easy ,simple and more detailed related to other “youtubers” and I like your way and how to explaining the minimum details, I have garmin as second sport watch because I’m a Apple user, but after I saw this 2nd parte and off course the 1 parte will just use garmin, I ordered also the brand new HRM PRO of garmin but I don’t know if which the best connection Ant+ or Bluetooth can you explain this particular in your next video? thanks again for your time and your efforts for us and for the community!

@@spartan3070 thanks again for the good word. Just go for ant+ if there is an option - this protocol was design for such uses of sensors specifically. In my case I didn't have an option, it went onto ant+ by default.
Oh and about VO2max - in short: regular exercises, following suggested workouts and also taking time to recover (looking into recover rate) made biggest difference for me. VO2Max was going up almost every week since I took this approach.

By the way, about VO2Max. Found this cool video where girls is following what Garmin watch tells her to do for a month. This is basically what I did, but difference is that I was exercising every other day. You can is in the video, that there are quite a few rest days if you workout every day, so I don't think I lost much working out consistently every second day. And experience in the video is very close to mine - VO2Max was consistent and started increasing once started following Garmin workout suggestion m.ruclips.net/video/Lh2nz5G_tF0/видео.html
