I had taken off my extension yesterday and I was literally crying about how ugly I am and how shitty my hair looks like and why couldn’t I be born white with straight hair and so on... this video as many others of yours is a BLESSING. Thank you, I needed this video. As a person with 4c hair I've really struggled with excepting my hair as is. Everyone always seems to like natural hair with the super defined, highly manipulated curls,, but I just have never really been able to get my hair like that. Made me want to cut it all off, tbh. Feels good to see people enjoying their hair as is. Shrinkage and all! Your hair is just like mine, texture length and all. Glad I found you, sis!

Next, my hair is just like yours, its a 4b but its way more longer and curlier
I've been trying so hard to do my own hair for a change and im trying to convince my mom to let me try and do my own hair. Im 12 and currently attending middle school and I normally go to school with the natural twiss and cornrow style that I get at the hair salon but I GET SO TIRED OF IT. I've tried asking my mom if I could put in braids and she said no because she thinks its too mature but im going away so she will let me do it for that occasion. Its currently summer and for my new school year I want to look different and change my hairstyle up. I tell my mom everyday that im getting older and I'm eventually have to learn how to do my own hair.
I like all these styles, and I also like that you didn’t really comb out the hair but you mostly just brushed it. This was helpful and so I think I’d wanna stick around for more tips to care my hair.

I'm in love with this tutorial. Keeping my hair curly is shuch a hassle with all the product buildup. The only reason I do is because I don't know how to do hair well and my school doesn't like it when I wear my afro out when it's not styled :(

Hey, I know this comment is old but that is racial discrimination (which is illegal) if your school does not let you wear your the hair that naturally grows out of your head. I don't know where you're based but you can definitely take legal action / complain. Other races aren't told that their hair is unacceptable so just know that what your school is doing is not right!

Yes, I always feel like a little kid with the puffs! 😄 But to make maintenance of your hair easier, just make sure your hair is well moisturised before handling it.

Oh...it’s just an old pair of tights. I cut one of the legs off and it works great! 😉
I tried a regular silk hair scarf and just continue tightening and pushing it up as high as you want and keep tightening the scarf as you go. Works perfectly.
