  • This short documentary tells the story of Tha Prajan amulet market in the Old City of Bangkok, Thailand. It also offers an introduction to this intriguing culture and tries to understand why amulets and charms are so popular in Thailand. The documentary was originally presented at the PBIC International Conference on Amulet Cultures in Thailand, June 10-11th 2023.

    Great documentary - I would love a part 2 or an expanded version on how they are made, how to select them for different scenarios and how to maintain their powers.

    Thank u for this great documentary. Helps folks like me in discerning between real faith and placebo faith via the amulet route. There's nothing wrong in wearing a Buddha amulet akin to a cross or crucifix in Christianity if it helps an individual to strengthen psychological needs in their respective beliefs .

      Yeah but that's not what it does. You're reducing an entire cultural phenomenon to what you're willing to believe it's worth.

    Sir you need to asking how do they make,from what material and too many believe you never heard ex: some kid wear amulet during plane crash all dead except a little girl because she worn amulet,there a hundred of high monk live in cave or forest/jungle for year who had special mysterious thing
    Please ask someone about this story in temple of Thailand

      Evil spirits being scared by Buddha, Buddha wouldn’t have expelled evil spirits, he would have preach to them and turned them into good spirits
