Tha Prajan Thai Buddhist Amulets Documentary
This short documentary tells the story of Tha Prajan amulet market in the Old City of Bangkok, Thailand. It also offers an introduction to this intriguing culture and tries to understand why amulets and charms are so popular in Thailand. The documentary was originally presented at the PBIC International Conference on Amulet Cultures in Thailand, June 10-11th 2023.

My time looking after some dogs. A bit silly but also a bit cute. Filmed at Machima's house in Sangkhlaburi, Thailand. Music is by Philip Glass.
Great documentary - I would love a part 2 or an expanded version on how they are made, how to select them for different scenarios and how to maintain their powers.
Let people believe what they want. Some hang a clove of garlic around their neck, others a dried mutton testicle, or a piece of Jesus' foreskin (there are several square meters of that). I believe and hope for accident insurance, pension insurance and so on People who stand by me in times of need... there is an insurance policy in the car... and not an amulet from any person... The amulet trade is also a business that is done with faith or superstition... in my eyes, nothing more and nothing less.. Gauthama Sittharda would be horrified today at what people have made of his teachings. also in this market..

Sir you need to asking how do they make,from what material and too many believe you never heard ex: some kid wear amulet during plane crash all dead except a little girl because she worn amulet,there a hundred of high monk live in cave or forest/jungle for year who had special mysterious thing Please ask someone about this story in temple of Thailand I want to see on episode

Evil spirits being scared by Buddha, Buddha wouldn’t have expelled evil spirits, he would have preach to them and turned them into good spirits

Thank u for this great documentary. Helps folks like me in discerning between real faith and placebo faith via the amulet route. There's nothing wrong in wearing a Buddha amulet akin to a cross or crucifix in Christianity if it helps an individual to strengthen psychological needs in their respective beliefs .
Yeah but that's not what it does. You're reducing an entire cultural phenomenon to what you're willing to believe it's worth.
