    Shan bringing up the education disparity is extremely important. As someone with multiple degrees many of my classes have been mainly women and with feminism women desire equality in a relationship when it comes to ambition/goals. Like I know for me personally I’m very apprehensive about getting with a man (or woman, I’m queer) who did not AT LEAST try to get a higher education or even have goals with a career

    • @batmansoracle8111
      @batmansoracle8111 3 года назад +7

      Another note: when we talk about top tier guys with no “careers”, I saw my aunts struggle with men like that. Being taken advantage of, cheated on, abused, having to STILL (after 20 years) pay spousal support after divorces so personally I think it’s kind of a slippery slope to encourage women to see guys outside of ambition (for me personally)

  • @Noctani
    @Noctani 3 года назад +31

    People have a difficult time understanding themselves let alone others. The other problem is people don't care enough about others to tell them what they did wrong and why. There is no improvement on either side. The person who is "offended" also didn't communicate their standard. desire, or requirements. There is a severe lack of communication. The internet gives unlimited choices and the false belief that relationships don't take work, because an individual can just move on to the next.

    A lot of women just want a smart, open minded, funny dude. All that success and ambition is the mainstream media’s perception of what women want. But a man with character who’s average looking or has an average job will still be able to attract women off of his character alone. Not all women are shallow, and I feel that’s what these assumptions are insinuating.

      Most men know this already. The issue mostly stems from men either wanting a girl who’s like a supermodel and needing enough money to be on her level, or the fear that she only wants us for our money and leave once the well dries up.
      Yes, most girls aren’t shallow, but money is still a necessity for having a girl because girlfriends/wifes are long term investments.
      Every relationship I’ve been in/seen from the men around me has at one point hit a roadblock due to money. Maybe the girl wants to go out too much and is constantly spending more money than the guy wants to spend, or the girl complains about (sometimes even hates on) her relationship/marriage because the guy isn’t making as much money as her, or even no money at all. These are very real problems I’ve seen in my life, not even counting all the testimonies I’ve heard from both parties in general as well.

    • @yvonnet6399
      @yvonnet6399 3 года назад +6

      Yes 🙌🏻 I agree.
      Also, they keep saying women are shallow. However it seems like all men in this dumb pill movement really care how a women looks because they say they don’t care about what she does (education or career or has ambition) as long as she’s pretty. It’s like…then your the shallow one who is unrealistic lol. Women are beyond looks. We don’t want a man who don’t care about us beyond our looks we can sense that and we want to move to someone else with more substance. I am pretty but my looks are not something I push forward unless I’m going to an occasion. Then I feel all eyes on me abs I get uncomfortable. That’s why I wear my glasses 🤓 cuz it’s an indicator that I’m a nerd. Lol.
      Then there are women who are shallow and they are not ashamed to admit it. They are the one who want to be the best looking and spend lots of money on their looks. To me they are the Instagram baddies and I don’t see the harm in them wanting a good looking man with money. Because they are advertising their “looks” for their type of man. This is what the pill communities are using as the average women when it is not. They are just the mainstream.
      I should not have said dumb pill movement it’s cuz some of the fans or other RUclipsrs are toxic. I know not all of them are.

If you don’t feel comfortable with the type of ideology you have, or you feel as though your environment isn’t matching what you hold to be ethical, then you should change your environment and find a community that you relate to more. At the end of the day, both MEN and WOMEN need to be very mindful of themselves and take accountability when due. Have the willingness to grow as an individual and as a partner. NO ONE is born the "perfect” partner. Without this basic foundation of understanding, expect very little. If you aspire to do nothing, expect nothing. If you aspire to very little, expect little. As much as I loved the conversation. Regarding the ending: Y'all need to stop asking people with pretty privilege for dating advice. A poor kid might as well ask a trust fund kid advice on how to earn $2K to afford his first car. They simply don't understand what exactly your question is and it's kinda offturning to get schooled by priviledged people on something they have never experienced.

      Shan did mention that in the interview.... And thats a good point u bring up. Even with Shan having an attitude problem in her early years... She would never struggle for a mate. Which means her issue would be choosing the right mate... Vs the average persons issue which is finding a mate in the first place. It can be off-putting if it comes off as disregarding issues for the more average looking person

      I see what you’re saying and she did address it, however, she has talked to thousands of people, has qualifications within the subject matter and brings takes based on what she has read, studied and found through those conversations with other women. Her other “pretty privileged” takes are still valid (maybe not for every women but there are still beautiful women out there in the world listening to this podcast)

      @@ericsbando6240 I think the comment was directed towards Jared (and I guess possibly towards Shan too) about his advice on starting from the inside out and the fact that that's coming from a "pretty boy" and therefore "invalid". It's a typical and corny answer, and he is right about it, confidence always wins and stats show that most women don't prioritize looks. I see broke ass ugly dudes get girls who are too good for them all the damn time. But incels will be incels and they don't like hearing these things from a guy that's either good looking or rich or both.

      That's really your conclusion? "Men need to better!"
      If women want what they want, they deserve it. If men want what they want, men have to do better as a whole and earn it? That's a pretty big disconnect. Why is it just on the men to improve? Women don't have to because they're all awesome 1% women? Women can get dates, but not the commitment from the same guy.
      Problem is a lot of women (the below average, average, and above average women) want the same high-value man while ignoring the regular and below average guys because they're not good enough. That's totally fine if that's what they want, but if they don't work hard on outmatching their other female competition, that high-value man ain't gonna settle with her in an exclusive relationship. Much easier for women to get dates from men above her league. Much much harder to get commitment.
      For those men who do better and become that 1% man, why would he need to settle when all the women want him? He can just date any of them whenever he pleases without offering a relationship to any one.
